Buffets are hard! Sparrow did an excellent job of providing many options with broad appeal. The addition of entrée options (eggs Benedict and other made to order items) made this buffet special. The service was very good. Some additional attention to detail would have elevated the experience (example paper menu had a coffee stain, extra hot water for tea provided before requested). The musician was quite good - but the acoustics were best in the restroom - distorted in restaurant (and a bit loud). Recommend - but come really hungry to take advantage of the food options!

It was our first visit to Sparrow and we really enjoyed it. Kind of reminds me of an old school steak house. Rib Eye was one of the best I’ve ever had. Cooked perfectly and the meat itself was perfection. The service was efficient and very friendly. I highly recommend!

The menu and pricing is upscale, however the ambience, food and waitstaff are just “ok.” There’s nothing groundbreaking, to justify any of the prices; it’s mid.

Saturday night, 4/5/2025, as is always the case, the food was superb but it took 2.5 hours to complete our service. We had the sense that much more kitchen help is needed for a more appropriate length of customer experience. There appeared to be sufficient wait staff but items out of the kitchen were very slow in coming. At the 2.5 hour mark, after completing dessert 20 minutes prior, I had to physically find our server to tell her we were ready to leave. Either take fewer customers and/or increase kitchen staff.

Compared to the price and the ambience, the food is the only deduction, but that one should be the most important part of a restaurant, right? The wagyu tarta tasted like nothing, no seasoning, and the raw beef, which was raw but didn’t have a note on the menu, tasted a bit cowy, not so fresh. The steak was ok, but the halibut was absolutely overcooked, which I couldn’t believe that such a high level restaurant would happen.

Initially we got our drinks & 1st course in reasonable amount of time. But the time between the 1st and 2nd course and then time between 2nd course and dessert was incredibly slow. We have no complaints about the food, it was good, but the food delays from the kitchen were unexpected and not explained.
