The story of St Andrews Beach Brewery dates back to the early 2000’s, when our Co-founder Andrew Purchase built the racetrack on the property for the royal family of Australian horse racing – the Freedman Brothers. When the property became available in 2015, Andrew and Michael Freedman saw an opportunity that was too good to miss. With the infrastructure in place and with a story like no other, Andrew, Michael and their passionate team of co-owners set about turning the former stables into a truly unique brewery.

Before you book a stable in our one of a kind refurbished stables, please note the following;
Stable bookings can seat groups from 5-20 and for a maximum of 3 hours.

If you are unable to book at your preferred time all of our reserved seating is booked.

We leave tables unreserved in our beer garden and parts of inside for groups of less than 5 people and walk-ins.

    Food was average, place outdoors was nice service was ok, the main problem was that when time came for my group of 8 people and asked to split bills they told us we could tell them what we wanted to pay for but instead to work out the total of what we wanted to pay. Ok so we did. I presented cash to which I was told that only if I had the exact change I could pay cash. So I pay card and a 2%fee was added without being told. We all took turn in paying what we thought the total was for us (mind you 6 of us had had a few drinks so it wasn’t easy) and then we are told $30 are unpaid for so anyway we spent another 10 minutes to work out who had paid what and the staff were just standing unable to help us. This system is a complete failure in my eyes because a group of 8 people who want to split bills should be able to in less than 15/20 minutes.

    Booked a stable and arrived ask for tv to be changed to races. Two requests were denied We were there for the races lunch and drinks Had one drink and left due to no races They missed out on over $1k today Poor form

    Iconic location, incomparable atmosphere, friendly helpful staff, very good choice and quality of food, excellent array of craft beer and wines. Perfect venue for a relaxed and thoroughly enjoyable lunch. Thank you SABB!

    Such a great experience everytime at SABB. We were served beautifully and attended to constantly. The staff were very kind and made our group of 23 people feel very comfortable. Food was also incredible!

    Lunch for our party of 4 was most enjoyable. I had the lamb ribs and they were delicious! Everyone in our party enjoyed their food. We will return.

    Highly recommend for a pleasant lunch set in a very nice area steeped in history. Service is impeccable and our welcome appreciated. Being a week day it was not excessively busy and therefore very comfy. Food selections are varied with a lot of options . Wine list excellent and the beers really good. To the unwary all meals ordered are delivered together which is not ideal . ID & Credit Card being held by the establishment is also not ideal especially after the CC details were given in the booking process. In future I would not abide by this process as it is a security risk. Overall a great place to visit , all very clean and a really nice vibe. Definitely recommend .

    I booked a stable for the Grand Final and had to be out by 2pm as apparently it was booked from 2pm, moved to the beer garden to watch the Grand Final as we were told all the remaining stables were booked out, only to find that 1/2 the stables ended up empty by the time the game started so we could have easily stayed where we were. No extra TV’s to watch the grand final on and there was absolutely no volume on the tvs that were in the stables to even hear the pre game entertainment or the actual game which created absolutely ZERO atmosphere. It’s a real shame as usually it is a bustling, vibrant brewery that we go to regularly with friends. Friends that came later that didn’t have a booking got put into a stable. Very poorly ran, and I don’t think many people will be back especially when the grand final is on. I would have had a better atmosphere with friends at home. Most of us left before 3/4 time to watch at home. Disappointing day out really.

    Thank you for the feedback. As discussed in emails through out the week, you had made a 11am booking and as for all bookings at the venue the booking was for a 3 hour time slot and your table was rebooked at 2pm. Out of our 16 stables, 12 were booked and 4 blocked off from bookings as they had no TV screens and knew no one would want these tables to watch the Grand final. Apart from the 12 large screens in the stables that can be seen from the beer garden we had another 7 screens around the venue. I will also correct you that as soon as the pre game entertainment started we had the sound playing in the stables and over the PA system. The feedback from the day was very positive so I am really sorry that you didn't have the same experience and I hope you enjoyed the last quarter at home!
