Great service! A bit pricy but very enjoyable. I The cafe -like experience of sitting upstairs was great too. I chose an unusual pairing of delicious mackerel with crème frais followed by roast pork

Overall average, several courses arrived cold, the duck was so rare it burst when cut into and flooded the plate with blood, even the steak knife struggled. 2 courses were forgotten from the order. The only thing this restaurant shares with its more famous big sister is the price levels. If you are spending the money go to the proper one.

I am an utter foodie. 15 years ago (ish) I saw Fergus Henderson make the rounds on the food shows and St. John became a dream destination. 6 months ago, I finally made it. It blew my mind. More often than not dream restaurants disappoint. St John surpassed my hopes. The food is amazing. The wine list is amazing and fairly priced. The staff is incredible. It’s become my destination every time I’m lucky enough to be in London. And it always surprises in the best ways. I couldn’t rave about this place enough.

Terrific restaurant. The food was delicious, the service friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere fun. Highly recommended. The only criticism is the weak wine list … good range but uninteresting and somewhat overpriced choices. It seems they largely import their own wines to give themselves pricing independence I.e. an opportunity to charge a lot for mediocre examples of otherwise well known appellations.

Very slow service when bringing out food. Waited 20 mins between courses at one point. And was then hurried up to leave having not even ordered dessert and just finished mains due to the table being booked after us. It's not my fault your service was so slow. For a expensive restaurant this is very poor aervice.

Wonderful restaurant with some amazing dishes! Despite us being there earlier than most other people and having ordered earlier, our food did take a long time to come and even the last dish we added to our order didn't go through. Everything else was great; service was otherwise very pleasant too but it was too busy and food didn't come in good rhythm. Hoping that was only this time because we would go back for the food and great staff.
