Relaxed, informed service, sublime food. Tables are close together so don’t expect your conversation to be private. Highly recommend.

A great venue for foodies without the fanfare and fuss of most other restaurants of the same calibre. I love how unpretentious the menu is - oysters were just “Oysters” but they were flavoursome, briny with bite. Obviously got their sourcing sorted! Wine list was short but most styles were well represented.

The food was delicious and innovative. They are clearly keeping up their tradition of nose to tail eating and we very much appreciated it. We took our own wine to accompany the meal.

A classic English old school meat and fish based delicacies. It’s a concept of smaller dishes to share with a great selection of wines. The service was warm, friendly and professional with good knowledge of the menu and wines. I had a great lunch experience and loved the ambiance of St. John’s marleybone

First time at St John. This newer (2022 -) branch showcases the offering they are known for, in the village-like (compared to the brash Mayfair and Soho areas) surroundings of Marylebone. First of all, the atmosphere is great, it's got a neighbourhood restaurant feel, and puts you at ease even though it is serving a discerning food experience. The food is very thoughtfully prepared, and their menu changes daily. My dining companion and I opted for dark crab on toast (delicious, delicate and rich) , jerusalem artichokes (hardly my favourite vegetable but somehow they made it very tasty! Ox Heart was quite tasty but slightly less flavoursome. The roast pork was delicious and melt in the mouth. For desert, bread and butter pudding was wonderfully put together from the surplus baked goods (i.e. delicious!) from their bakery, and the blood orange posset was smooth and delightfully simple with its balance of tart and sweet. I/we would definitely visit again to see what wonders might await next time.
