My wife and I had been wanting to go for a while so we finally made the effort. They have outdoor and indoor seating which is nice, we chose indoor due to the weather. We were seated immediately and Mandy, our waitress was at our table very quickly with recommendations. I had the Bison burger with Confusion potatoes. The burger was very good! I would highly recommend. The potatoes were overcooked and bland, don’t recommend! My wife had the stuffed sweet potato, very disappointing. The potato was very small and covered with shredded lettuce?, not very impressive. Don’t recommend! We also had chicken egg rolls, best part of the meal, very tasty. We finished up with a slice of pecan pie with with chocolate crust, caramel sauce and ice cream. The ice cream was good but the crust was burnt and quite hard!, very disappointing. We will probably go back as everyone has a bad night but we will certainly consider other places first.

I live in Atlanta but visit Chattanooga at least once a year and every visit, even if only for the day, we make it a point to eat at State of Confusion. The food and service are consistently top notch. This trip in particular I enjoyed the skirt steak chimi. So good and flavorful! I also tried the Chicha Morada agua fresca for the first time and I'm a little mad I haven't been ordering it my whole life. Such an interesting and refreshing beverage. Our server was delightful and honest with her recommendations. She was so sweet with our baby girl. Thank you for yet another excellent dining experience!

My wife had the steak special and I had the kabob special. Our granddaughter had a ceviche . The ceviche was very good; my wife's steak was very good; I was undecided between the kabob and the jambalaya,. Our server suggested the kabob which I ordered but I should have chosen the jambalaya. The kabob was virtually tasteless other than the smoky flavor. The potato was hard and not cooked properly. There wasn't anything to carry flavor. I'll go back but to have the jambalaya.

Music was sooo loud we could barely hear ourselves. Hostesses were not very friendly or welcoming. Food was decent but way over priced. I was disappointed with my salad as it was $17 and had packaged chicken strips chopped up, a few flecks of bacon. A few bits of egg and a tiny bit of avocado. Mostly just the chicken and greens. My husband’s ceviche was good but not enough for $20. He had the come home and eat more because he wasn’t full. We won’t be going back.
