   State of Grace provided exceptional service. The servers, Nicolas and Parevaan, were only cheerful and courteuos. All waitstaff encountered, and some form of management or upper oversight which visited the table, treated guests with respect and kindness. The food itself was excellent; a varied taste for food preferences existed at my table of guests, but everyone was pleased with the variety and actual dishes rendered. State of Grace set a new bar for customer service. The restaurant has clearly prioritized curating a quality menu that delivers on the tangible people are coming for---super dishes-- while also clearly training and maintaining high standards for all servers in how to make guests feel heard, welcome, appreciated, and respected. This was restaurant service as good as it gets on planet earth. My party of guests was oozing with "glows" about this restaurant, for which this was a first-time visit for us. Overall, State of Grace made a 110 on a scale of 100 for customer service and fare: well done! I would especially commend the genuine cheerfulness, courtesy, and professionalism of our servers.

   The Manager Parwaan and servers Dominic & Essence went above and beyond to make sure our dining experience was excellent. The food was exceptional as always. We will be back soon.

   I recently visited State of Grace for a Christmas date with my husband, and while I had high hopes for the evening, the experience was a bit underwhelming. We ordered 1/2 dozen raw oysters and Oyster Bienville to start, followed by two spritz cocktails and the Bistecca alla Fiorentina as our main course. While the service was attentive and the ambiance was inviting, the food itself left much to be desired. The oysters were fresh, and the Bistecca alla Fiorentina didn’t live up to expectations, especially considering the hefty $370 bill. Having traveled to Florence, we’ve enjoyed authentic Bistecca alla Fiorentina at Trattoria ZaZa and Buca Mario. The portions there were much larger, unbelievably flavorful, and cost around 70 euros—an experience we still miss to this day. Hoping to relive that memory, we decided to give State of Grace’s version a try, even at $225. Unfortunately, it fell far short of the real thing. Overall, while the service and atmosphere were enjoyable, the food fell short, making it hard to justify the cost. I wouldn’t recommend it for the price point, but it might be worth a try if ambiance and service are your priorities.

   We had a great time. The waiter was fantastic. The food was fantastic and it was just a very nice experience with my family before Christmas.

   Very nice server and experience. However didn’t place order until we had been seated 45 minutes. Missed an appetizer that was ordered and speed of food and delivery were just off. Just seemed like the restaurant was overwhelmed, understaffed, or just out of sync tonight. Quality of food and ambience was excellent.

   This was our first visit since the re-launch. Frankly, it has just become another expensive steak house in a city with a glut of those. In that genre there is nothing that stands out here over any of the other steak houses. This was a fun place with a great oyster bar and interesting menu. That is all gone. Service is exceptional and the decor is great. My blackened redfish was very tasty but served lukewarm at best.

    Essence was our waitress and she was good. And sweet ! Deviled eggs are fantastic !
