We decided to try a favourite of old...the restart of the Steak and Ale brand. A salad bar is just that...a salad bar...so go for the main courses. The Prime Rib is as delicious as I remember it to be; thankful that the original recipes were a part of what the new owners of the brand wanted to restart. One in our party has the Kensington Club...it is rare you see a 70+ gentleman suddenly want to lick his plate clean, but our party member sure liked that steak! :P A very nice wine selection compliments the menu. It can get quite loud because of the space...so if you want quiet...ask for a table/Booth on the East side of the Bar.

Our server was not on his game when it came to service; our drink glasses sat empty, with our server nowhere to be found. He was also very pushy when it came time to order, by “suggesting” we order this, not that. With regards to the food, the steaks were appropriately seasoned and cooked. However, my baked potato was cold. In the end, my potato was replaced with a fresh one, but again, the server was disgruntled about having to get me a new one. When our meal was finished, we waited 20-minutes for our check; again, our server was nowhere to be found. All in all, this is not the Steak and Ale I remember. The restaurant has a completely different feel than the original chain. I will not be returning to this restaurant again. Save your money and go to Outback instead.

We did the Valentine’s Day menu with onion rings that were large and cook deliciously, prime rib that was cooked properly and was amazing and key lime pie that was tart and creamy just like you would expect. The service was great. The food was brought to us in a timely manner by amazing staff that were very attentive. I highly recommend this place for not only Valentine’s Day’s but any day!!! It’s great!!!

Food was fantastic! Waitress was amazing. Hostess was a little angry we were 15 min late and let me know twice that we were late. But that was my fault, I was late. Traffic jam on 62. Other than that I loved it

The three stars really says it all. It's not bad, it's not great. The service, while all very friendly, was slow and the meal ill-timed overall. It was more than 50 minutes from the time we ordered until we received our entrees, and the restaurant was not busy enough to warrant that kind of wait. I appreciate having some time to eat my salad, but this was far too long. When the entrees did arrive, my husband's steak was not cooked at all as he'd ordered it. Considering it's a steakhouse, they should understand how to cook a filet. He did send it back and, to their credit, they brought out a new one, cooked as ordered and offered a credit to the bill for the delay. They charge more than I feel is warranted for the overall quality. For my money, I'd much rather go to Jensen's in Eagan, where the quality is always high, and the service is always excellent. Again, it's not bad, but it's not good enough for me to go back anytime soon.
