   Our dinner at Steak & Bourbon in downtown Louisville was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, Spencer, our waiter, took amazing care of us, ensuring a flawless dining experience. The cocktails were expertly crafted and delicious, setting the perfect tone for the evening. One of the standout highlights was the homemade bread served with tallow butter—rich, flavorful, and the ideal start to the meal. Of course, the main event—the steaks—were cooked to absolute perfection, bursting with flavor and expertly prepared. The cream corn was luxuriously rich and creamy, complemented by crisp textures, while the fried potatoes were golden, crispy on the outside, and incredibly satisfying. Their wine menu offered a fantastic selection, making it easy to find the perfect pairing for our meal. To top it all off, we ended with a colossal slice of chocolate cake, which was the perfect way to celebrate our dear friend’s birthday. From the impeccable service to the outstanding food and drink, Steak & Bourbon delivered a truly memorable evening.    We came to Steak and Bourbon to celebrate a family member's birthday. The restaurant was very busy and there was live music playing. The noise level is a bit much, especially when you are at a round table - it was somewhat difficult to hear across the table. All the food - appetizers, entrees, etc. were excellent. The brioche bread with tallow/butter was amazing and even our family's vegetarian loved her dish of tomatoes and burrata. For such an upscale restaurant, I was a bit surprised that they asked for ID when we ordered drinks (both my husband and I are gray haired), but they ended up serving us even though I didn't have my drivers license. The food is expensive but everything was cooked well and the flavors & seasonings were very good. My son's steak was a bit late coming out of the kitchen b/c it had been overcooked and they redid it. I would say our only food critique was for my husband's burger. It was huge (two pattys) when one well cooked patty would have been perfect.

   Alex was an amazing server. She shared her love of the food and cocktails-I always appreciate recommendations and she didn’t hesitate to provide them. The food was incredible. I’ve never had a steak that delicious. We made an excellent decision about where to celebrate a great day.

   Had a great experience the server was amazing he took care of us i seen him chase down a guy who left his card but the food was amazing I will be back 5 stars from me

   We have the ribeye steak, loaded mashed potatoes, steak fries(they were huge), creme brulee corn, old forester and Riesling. Everything was wonderful and they validate your parking up to 3 hours so that was a plus

    We all ordered steaks and they were cooked to perfection. We had the S&B Oysters for and appetizer and they did not disappoint. The sides at our table were so delicious! We had the mushrooms, loaded sweet potato(absolutely the best I’ve ever had), the augratin potatoes, and our son had the steak frites. Our daughter had land and sea and loved it. And she also has the cheesecake, and unlike other restaurants, it tasted like it was actually made in house and was so light and fluffy, it wasn’t too sugary sweet which made it even more delightful. Our server was Niko and he was so nice and attentive and seemed like he enjoyed his job. We appreciate great service! If you’re on the fence about trying Steak and Bourbon let this be your nudge to do so. Enjoy!
