Stella's Is For You (And Us)
Our menu goes way beyond the typical freezer bag to fryer crap you find at a lot of bars. Our famous giant stuffed burgers were named Best in America by GQ in 2012 and Best in Grand Rapids by Grand Rapids Magazine and On the Town. We even make our own vegetarian and vegan burgers, beer-battered avocados and stuffed tots.

We also have over 250 kinds of whiskey for your sipping pleasure. Canadian, Scotch, Irish, American (including some Michigan-made varieties) -- we cover the map.

We had reservations for 5. Walked right in and was seated right away. Great service, friendly, easy going. Food was fantastic. 2 had the Government Cheese burger, cooked perfect. 1 had the grilled cheese, outstanding! 1 had the chicken fajita wrap, so good! 10/10 recommend.

We had a reservation and were seated immediately! The server was awesome - friendly and energetic. The restaurant is super cool, very chill, and the food was great. We were going to a show at Van Andel Arena, and this is just around the block - very convenient. Definitely recommend!!!

Long time fan of Stella’s. Food, whiskey/drink selection, service and atmosphere are all top notch!

We had a reservation and was sat right at the door while others with no reservation on New Year's Eve got in to the dining area. They brought the wrong burger out to my boyfriend, and when he got the "right" one , it was wrong . Happy the offer vegan options , fun vibe in there , and our waitress was nice . But over all would not recommend to others

It had been a while since we have been there and I remember the burgers being better. There wasn’t anything necessary wrong with them they just were underwhelming. I feel like there are better burgers to be had in Grand Rapids. The waitress was great, and still love the atmosphere. Would come back for a drink but probably not food.

Great food, superb service. We get to Grand Rapids several times a year and Stella’s is definitely on the list of places to go again!

We sat outside and it was very pleasant and quiet. Inside might have been a different story!

Fantastic burgers. They lived up to the reports around town, and I will be back. Also because of a small error we received our appetizer of their potato balls after our burgers but it’s a new pro tip for a savory dessert and it allows you to fully enjoy the burger.

Leaving this review because this place was advertised and set up on OpenTable to take reservations when in fact they don’t. We had out of town guests including multiple kids and made a large party reservation which was confirmed on OpenTable. Arrived at Stella’s, the host checked their iPad and then said “we don’t have your name here, we don’t take reservations on OpenTable.” I showed her the confirmation on my phone. She said sorry, I don’t know why it let you do that. There were open tables that we asked about but she said they were spoken for, and she was not willing to do anything but put us at the bottom of the list. So after paying for parking we had 2 families out in the frigid cold walking to find another place to eat before our event. I told them they need to change their OpenTable listing so it will not accept ”false” reservations.
