Welcome to The Stile Bridge, we have recently re-opened under new ownership and management following our sister restaurant "The Poet at Matfield".
We serve food lunch and dinner from Tuesday to Sunday, serving drinks & Bar snacks all day.
We source all our produce locally, finding inspiration from South America, Asia, South Africa and Europe to bring together a "New World" menu with Wines from across the earth to compliment your meal.

Join us every Wednesday evening for our Steak and Wine night. Our Chefs dry age our Argentinian beef and finish it off in the kitchen to perfection. To keep your tastebuds dancing we pair it with our beautiful malbec. At £30 per person there is not a better deal around.

Another great Sunday lunch; the roast beef was exceptionally good and all of the trimmings were cooked to perfection. We’ll be back!

Such a lovely restaurant. The staff are always so welcoming and friendly. The food is so delicious and of a high standard. I love this place!

My partner and I visited here for steak night, excellent and friendly service from the staff from the moment we walked in. They have a great selection of drinks available. We opted for the sirloin steak deal for 2 (on Wednesdays) which includes 2 steaks, chips, salad and wine. The food was all excellent and amazing value for the money, and the wine was also very good. Overall really impressed with the whole experience, and will be coming back.

Bit of a let down on the burger front. Sauce just didn’t taste good, and was a bit dry. Would really benefit from 2 smaller patties over one big one. Personally I would have served it with the same chips which come with the steak, rather than very thin fries. Think I’ll keep the al carte options in future.

Quite exceptional visit Booked for Sunday lunch in this characterful venue. It’s a lovely building with lots of different sized rooms. We ordered our food from a reasonable sized menu. Starter was a really interesting well flavoured octopus with Pork quite an unusual combination, but very tasty. Octopus isn’t an easy food to cook perfectly but this really was. The sauce had a gentle and delicious kick to it. My partners main was a quite unusual lamb roast with shredded lamb well flavoured. Mine was roast beef with trimmings. I have to confess to being very impressed with the selection of vegetables (kudos for noticing my request for no cooked cheese) I had my own cauliflower without cheese. Carrots were unusually but interesting. Potato well cooked and crunchy, as I like them. Perfect Yorkshire too. If I was to offer any criticism, beef perfectly medium rare but not as flavoursome as I have experienced. I am a total lemon posset fanatic and the one I had was almost perfect, I just like mine to be quite tart and not sweet but about 95% there. Very friendly efficient service, a little repeated questions about drinks but otherwise very good. Toilets clean and spacious if a little utilitarian. Was it worth the drive? Oh yes a great meal very good staff left full and happy! Thank you all

Excellent roast pork belly and all the sides were really good. Service attentive but discreet. Thoroughly enjoyable Sunday lunch.

The Bluefin Tuna tartare was the clear standout dish of the night me last night! The flavours came together so well! Wish I had ordered 2! Another great dinner
