STIR is the perfect restaurant to sip a craft cocktail over a dozen oysters, enjoy a night out, or meet for lunch. Located in the historic Chattanooga Choo Choo complex, the restaurant is an open-air concept with a large, heated outdoor patio. We are open for lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch.

Great food starts with fresh, local ingredients. Our kitchen prepares everything from scratch, and our signature raw bar is stocked with fresh oysters and seasonal seafood.

STIR is famous for craft cocktails. We freeze and carve 300-pound blocks of artisanal ice in-house, age certain cocktails in oak barrels for richer flavors, and place others on draft for crispness and carbonation. The result: categorically elevated cocktails. Our passion for fine spirits also compels us to find and share rare bottles, many of which are extremely difficult to procure.

First tip: skip the crème brûlée - basically gloried pudding and tastes nothing like eggnog. Also this time of year bypass the oysters, very, very small. Altogether the 6 equaled 1 oyster and no reduced price for the measles oysters. Main dishes were decent, but not super praise worthy. The 4 entrees were Shrimp & Grits, Cheeseburger, halibut piccata and the crab cakes. Ambience was nice. Didn’t realize they were playing Christmas music until the place basically cleared out.

Food and cocktails were honestly ok. Great location, ambiance, and service though. Great variety of spirits but cocktails were average. Egg nog crème brûlée was not even crispy on top

We started with drinks (dirty martini that was amazing and bourbon from a very extensive selection) and a dozen house oysters that were some of the best we’ve ever had. Moving onto entrees, I had the lobster and crab cakes that were delicious, having more crab and lobster than filler. Hubs ordered the lobster and shrimp Mac n cheese. It was so flavourful and creamy and also loaded with shrimp and lobster. We both cleaned our plates!!

We really enjoyed the atmosphere and the server. The volcano roll was really good, the rest of the food was just okay.

Lovely restaurant, a couple oopsies in the kitchen but it was made right and the service was great, drinks were great and atmosphere was right.

Whenever we are in town, we always go to STIR. I couldn’t get us in for brunch, but lunch today was amazing. Our server wasn’t very attentive and even though the restaurant was almost empty, it took a long time to get our drinks and lunch. We will be back though!

We had a great experience going to the restaurant unfortunately, my steak was cooked blue instead of medium rare. I lost my appetite when I saw the raw meat. And when we received our dessert, it had a bitter piece of onion in it, they obviously didn’t a clean knife to cut it.
