   Service was great and the food was good too. It was a little overpriced, but you basically pay for the service, experience, and vibe of the place. We did have an accident where a used fork dropped on our table and hit my partner’s arm because a worker was rushing after cleaning a table, but him and another waiter were very apologetic. Overall, decent food and amazing service!

   We came to this restaurant expecting to try their $69 special menu offered Sunday-Thursday. When reservations were confirmed by phone, I asked specifically if the $69 menu would be available, I was told it would be. Tonight when we asked our server about the menu, he checked with management and gave us the bad news that the $69 date menu wasn’t available. Our group of six was more than disappointed. We made the best of our evening and tried multiple items. The food was overpriced and taste was just average. The chicken was the size of a quarter of a game hen. Not worth the price tag of $67. The temperature of our bone-in ribeye steaks were ordered medium rare, but they came medium. The best part of our meal was the truffle fries. The decor was impressive in the main dining room, but they sat us in a small, very plain room with no tablecloths. Our server was not attentive and kept reaching over us or asked us to pass flatware to ourselves. Service needs work. Niku vs STK? Go with Niku.

   Great experience and accommodations were easily made. The atmosphere was fun, definitely good vibes. We celebrated my husband’s birthday and their staff was very accommodating with our few needs as we had our 3 month with us along with her stroller. Portions were generous and food was delicious.

   Waited extra long for our order; and when it finally arrived the crab in the omelette was runny and uneatable, and the burger was cold. At that point, after having paid $28 for an espresso martini I decided to just give up.

   My girlfriend and I were celebrating our anniversary, so we decided to make a trip to STK. It is very close to BART, so we rode in from walnut creek. Upon entering, we were immediately greeted and within seconds we were seated. Our server greeted us hastily and was great throughout the night. He made a few drink recommendations which we both loved what we chose. The drinks came out within 3 minutes. He did not explain the menu but did ask about food allergies, joking with me about having an allergy to red meat at a steak house, very well played! I did notice how the table was seated uneven making it wobbly if weight applied but easily avoided. We ordered our apps and entree at the same time. The apps took 25 minutes and the entrees were 50 minutes, that seems far too long for an establishment of this caliber. We ordered another round of drinks which took 20 minutes, but the waiter was sure to keep our water glasses full which was very courteous. We finished our food, then was given the dessert menu. I asked about "the cloud" which the waiter halfway answered while walking away never actually explaining anything. The manager Kristen came by a few times to check on us, since it was a special occasion. She was the best! answering any questions with such a positive attitude, she explained the desert menu, and even put "happy anniversary" on our desert of choice plate! Thank you Kristen, you really made our night! Lastly, the "shot show" was a fun event but felt sf club energy not dining energy, but that's just me, my last loved it.

   The IBM of restaurants - You can get better but you can’t pay more Applebees quality at many times the price Loud and bright - not what you would expect for a steakhouse I don’t see how this place stays in business
