Very peculiar server. Knew absolutely everything about the menu inside and out and gave great recommendations. However he knew nothing about cocktails orders. Kinda funny. We walked from the theater district and the restaurant was perfectly chill and quiet after all the crowds after the show. Ambiance was great, food was fine - my husband actually complained that the portions were too big. I guess I'd agree because I couldn't even finish my app as an entree.

Strega lives up to its reputation. Food and service were excellent. We were greeted with a spumante in honor of an anniversary, which was a lovely start. The fritto misto was deliciously light as a shared antipasto/starter. Ossobuco is another highly recommended dish. They were kind enough to accommodate a request for pasta instead of risotto. The pasta was fresh with a classic tomato sauce. Filet was perfect over a sugo ai funghi (mushroom sauce) which is great for mushroom lovers but can be a little salty for some. We enjoyed every morsel. We topped off the evening with a shared tiramisu and couldn’t be happier with our meal. Thumbs up!!

It’s been awhile since we’ve gotten back to Strega Back Bay and we’re not disappointed. Our server Stevie was great and he was attentive and personable. We enjoyed the arancini for an appetizer. For the entree we split a tenderloin surf and turf special that included two 5 oz steaks plus a lobster tail. The tenderloin was cooked perfectly and the lobster was sweet. For dessert we enjoyed the apple crostata.

Host was superb, service was attentive but lacked attention to detail and please stop asking if we are done just because we put our forks down, I realize you want to go home. Biggest disappointment was the mediocre food, my expectations were much higher.
