Before Stuft Pizza gained recognition as a top restaurant in Palm Desert, and La Quinta, Jack Bertram and his wife, Pat, launched the first Stuft Pizza in Cerritos, California in 1976. After nearly 9 months of experimenting, Jack developed the recipe for the now beloved pizza. Despite initially offering only take-out pizza, the store's unwavering commitment to quality propelled its success. Two years later, Jack and Pat opened a second store in Whittier, and in 1986, Stuft Pizza transitioned into a franchise.

While franchisee-owned outlets operate outside the Coachella Valley, the Stuft Pizza Bar & Grill locations in the desert, both owned by the Bertram Family, are distinct. Since 2004 in La Quinta and 2014 in Palm Desert, we have been proud fixtures in the desert, boasting expanded menus, full bars, full service, HD TVs, and an exceptional wine list.

Sat in booth people in booth behind us wouldn’t or didn’t know their children were kicking the back of their seats which of course are connected to the back of our seats. We asked a server to advise these folks of the situation and make them aware of the situation……he flat out refused to do that. Super unimpressed

Outstanding wait staff. The Gorgonzola chips were awesome! Our pizza was a large thin crust full of incredibly good toppings: ½ pepperoni and ½ spinach, mushrooms and caramelized onions. It was the best pizza in the area!! All the food and beverages were affordably priced - excellent value. Only downside was the noise level was very loud and hard to talk among the four of us at our table.

We have been coming to Stuft Pizza in Palm Desert most Fridays during the winter season for 2 1/2 years now Have never been disappointed. We usually have the thin crust pizza. Very enjoyable. The staff and waitress,waiters are spectacular Our favourite spot to sit is on the deck.

Great evening with eight ladies. Most of us ordered the Prime Rib Wednesday dinner special. Delish! Our server was excellent

We had a fantastic waitress. She was very attentive to our party of 6. We all had different types of pizza’s & they were all delicious. My favorite was the Thai chicken pizza. 😊

Chose stuft because their websites says vegan cheese and other vegan options. Was told they DO NOT have vegan cheese available. Sadly, I was really looking forward to a pizza. We were a party of four and all of our meals were great--just disappointed in the false advertising.

The place has good food, so many people go there, that you know everything is fresh in the kitchen. Have tried the Thai Chicken Pizza … it is quite delicious. Try it, you will not regret that.

Great evening at Stuft Pizza! Now that the Snowbirds are back...very busy...but service and food excellent. Since moving to Palm Desert 7 years ago...I will go out on a limb and say they have the BEST pizza. All dinner items reasonably price as well. Nice date evening.
