   We LOVE Suerte. We love it so much, we went directly from the airport. The hostess took our bags, storing them out of the way. So nice. The drinks are great, the service is great, the space is great, and the food is outstanding!!! We are already looking forward to our visit next spring break. Suerte is must in Austin.

   This place is consistently incredible. We were seated promptly since we had made a reservation. My husband and parents-in-law came to celebrate our 5 year anniversary. Our waiter, Julian, was awesome. Julian was attentive, helpful, and had a great sense of humor! The patio was perfectly set up and the temperature was great. The food was absolutely amazing as it always is here. We got the barbacoa, suadero tacos, duck flautas, guacamole, and carnitas. Every single thing was, as my MIL said, "Consistently amazing and perfectly executed at every level." We also got some desserts that were INSANE! The choco taco was a favorite, but the tres leches cake and cinnamon ice cream were also awesome. This is a gem in Austin, and this city is lucky to have such a fantastic place to enjoy.

   We were here exactly 2 years ago on March 18th 2023 for our 11 year anniversary and that experience was off the charts wine, cocktails, food and service were all 5 stars. We decided to go back for our "Lucky #13" Anniversary this past March 18th, 2025. The staples Tuna Tiradito, Suadero Tacos, Carnitas and Goat Barbacoa were all still great. The other items on the menu didnt really hit as well as the ones back in 2023 (we had the same 5 guests from 2 years ago plus 1 new one). This time around our experience was quite different when it came to the beverage side of things as the first 4 bottles of wine we ordered were all out of stock (not sure if this has anything to do with the current tariff situation). Our server seemed like she might have been a bit overwhelmed as we ordered a different bottle for each course and had some trouble getting the table set for each new bottle. She also had some trouble opening the wine bottles themselves, which we totally understood, but at the price point you are paying at this restaurant we felt like it should have been a standard part of service. We spent $1000 both times but this time around the value/service didnt really feel like it was there. Also, we had a guest with an Allium and Cashew allergy which was handled perfectly the first time around but that was simply not the case this time. I want to reiterate this review might be skewed because when we were there 2 years ago, everything was absolutely perfect.

   We enjoyed Suerte on my birthday last year so much, we returned this year. The food is creative and delicious, and the setting uniquely Austin. Suerte is a must for both Austinites and visitors!

   Nice enough but too many dishes priced over $40 which should have been $30. Not distinctively delicious, skilled or unique enough at that price point

   We had reservations for noon but we were 50 minutes early. They were able to squeeze us in! The menu was Sunday brunch style. The server suggested that we get three plates to share that turned out to be perfect. The suadero tacos were outstanding as was the sweet papas. The homemade guacamole was outstanding of this world. Thanks Phil Rosenthal for the suggestion! Somebody Feed Phil sent us! :-)
