   The staff was very kind. Our waiter was not very knowledgeable about the menu. They the exact same drink posted twice but one was $2 more and he couldn’t tell us why. The hot chocolate its self was not very good. The food didn’t look appetizing. The place is cute and simply for taking pics.

   We made a reservation for Tuesday December 10th at 5:30pm. We get to the restaurant and it’s completely closed. No notification no call. Made the reservation through open table. Not even a sign on the door. The security guard told us it was closed for the night. We made the reservation through open table. We called the restaurant. Nothing. I will never recommend this place who treats customers like this.

   We had seen a post on Instagram for The Sugary, and so we decidied to check it out. Clearly, the aesthetic vibe is what the focus is. The drinks are all pretty to look at. I had a cookies n cream hot chocolate and the marshmellow on top was seared so it formed a shell. I don't like marshmellow, and I should have ordered without. I thought I could scrape/scoop it out. Nope. We ordered the giant croissant as seen on Instagram. It was $35 for the plain and $45 for the chocolate. To be honest, it was a huge let down. It was French bread with a flaky top. It was not a croissant on the inside: too dense. The service wasn't great. They were busy, to be fair, but we asked multiple times for a box, said we wanted the croissant to go, etc and it took forever. Finally, I made a reservation on Open Table, and I'm not sure why. They didn't seem to care. The place is really small, which is something they don't tell you on Instagram. The bill was $101 for a BLT, a crepe, hashbrowns, hot chocolate, and the croissant. We (over)paid for the experience.

   Sugary does not support Open Table reservations. We arrived at the restaurant and were told this. We had important clients with us and had even confirmed on open table. We arrived and were told they did not accept reservations made on open table and there would be at least a half hour if not longer wait. Very Disappointing experience.

   Overall it was okay. I thought we had to make a reservation but they let us in quickly so that was a plus. Food wasn’t that much a of world win opportunity- we ordered milkshakes and mine came out different than my friend (who ordered the same) and they just didn’t want to remake it. It was a bit disappointing. Would I go back, no.

   Presentation of food is very pretty. Milkshakes and fries are good. Breakfast plate was bad, cold eggs and potatoes. Cold toast. Overcooked pasta. Service charge was included but waiter asked for a tip. Very overpriced

   The poor reviews are a bit hidden but they were very much still valid at our visit. The service was not great. They seemed understaffed. The food was not great but loved the presentation and the vibe of the place. For a family of four interested in trying most things we spent almost $200 and didn’t really like anything. It’s part of the experience to test and trial but I was hoping we’d love one thing.
