Celebrate Thanksgiving at Sullivan's Steakhouse and join us for a traditional holiday feast. We’ll be open from 11am-8pm and serving a special, three-course, turkey dinner with all the trimmings for $51 per person ($25 for children). We will also be serving our dinner menu full of signature items. The experience started beautifully, BUT it left us with mixed feelings. The ambience was stunning, offering a warm and inviting atmosphere perfect for an evening out. The service was exceptional—attentive, friendly, and everything you’d expect from a high-end establishment. However, the highlight of the meal, our steaks, fell far short of expectations. I ordered mine medium-rare, and my partner requested medium. Unfortunately, both were significantly undercooked, to the point that her steak was inedible. While I could work with mine, hers was a different story. Having both worked in kitchens many yaers ago, we decided against sending them back, as we were uneasy about what could happen once they left the table. At around $100 per steak, we expected more precision and care in the preparation. While the sides and overall presentation were excellent, it’s hard to overlook such a fundamental misstep for a restaurant of this caliber. We left disappointed, feeling that such a costly meal should never have missed the mark so widely. It’s a shame, as everything else about the evening was nearly perfect.

The staff refused to seat us because we were slightly over 15 minutes late, even though there were open tables. We sat at the bar instead and I rebooked for 15 minutes later. They then told me I could not take that reservation because of the original one. None of that needed to happen. They eventually sat us, but it was ridiculous.

We arrived for our reservation and were promptly seated. Diego was helpful, kind and attentive. Good was magnificent. We had the Beef Wellington bites, my husband and I had steaks and side of our choosing. Everything was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Would definitely recommend!

When we arrived no one was there. We booked a reservation for 9pm and arrived early so we just decided to sit at the bar. The bartender ( bald male) approached us very standoffish immediately asking us what we wanted. This was also our first time visiting. We said we needed a minute . He left and came back. My mother asked what type of vodka do they use in the lemon drop. He looked at her as if it was a stupid question and goes something along regular vodka. We did have a nice young lady behind the bar step in. Again we asked what kind of vodka and she went down a list (Tito’s, kettle one, Belvedere , etc.) She took our food and drink order and was on her way. We were sitting just enjoying and next thing you know people start coming in. By this time an hour has gone by and the hostess came to us at the bar and goes “your reservation is here, but we won’t be able to sit you but at a little table so it might be best for you to sit at the bar.” Ummmm ok. We didn’t care because the bartender was nice but to say that it made us feel like you wanted to give “our” table to somebody else. Fast forward, we’ve been at the bar for an hour now. No water, no bread, no food. People who came in after us started to receive their food which started to upset us. Finally the lady bartender comes and says the kitchen it behind & we asked to see the manager. The manager did make things right & we received our food. Steaks were lukewarm warm , butter didn’t melt and they weren’t tender. My mother received cold fries. Manager came back said we would get fresh fries. That took 10-15 minutes . Overall this was a horrible first time experience. I would not be back, neither would I recommend this place to anyone.

The food was top notch. But delays for food were a lot. We sat at 730 and did not see any food for an hour. 2 of us finished the first bottle of wine before the food arrived.

Great experience at Sullivan's! Food was spot on... some of the best lamb we've had. Ashley was great, made recommendations and was very attentive! Will definitely be back!

Food, drinks, service, and ambience were all amazing. Our food and drinks were absolutely delicious and worth the price. Our server was friendly, helpful, and professional. I highly recommend and will definitely be back!

We went here for my birthday and before a show - our first time at Sullivan's. Unfortunately, we were sat between a live three piece band on one side and a wedding reception on another side, so it had a tendency to get loud and the music as well, when the drums kicked in. We had standard appetizers. I had wedge salad and he had a shrimp and lobster bisque. It was quite odd to pay extra for bacon on the wedge salad. I never had to do that before. Aside from that, we ordered a NY Strip steak and the salt-crusted baked potato loaded. The steak was good. The potato was VERY salty all around just as it says. The salt basically dried out the potato, so the loaded part couldn't be tasted. Ask for the fixings on the side so you can scrape off all the salt. There is a ton of it. They gave me a slice of cheesecake for my birthday which was nice. We arrived a bit early ahead of our reservation. We had a show to go to and the service was a bit slower than we anticipated, so we had to rush to get to our show even though it was two hours after our reservations. We waited quite a while for various items. The food was good, not WOW great. I know this is a newer restaurant and a chain, but I think it needs to tighten up everything if it wants to be an upscale restaurant like all the others that are coming into the downtown area. There are many restaurant options in Detroit and this one may not be on our list next time.
