Today high above the hustle and bustle of North Orange County, like a crown on the hilltop, you will find built in the tradition of an English country manor the stately Summit House Restaurant.
The Summit House, renowned for its magnificent panoramic views and old-world charm, is famous for the amazing flavors and incredible food presentations created by Executive Chef Timothy Plumb’s culinary team. Highlights include our world-famous Stockyards of Chicago Roast Prime Ribs of Beef, “melt-in-your-mouth” oak wood grilled USDA prime steaks, our thirty-year favorite sautéed John Dory, locally grown vegetables hand-picked from neighboring Back Sheep Farms, and of course our famous creamed corn au gratin.

    The escargot were amazing. The off menu Arugala, beet, pear salad was refreshing and highly recommend if eating a meat for your entree. The French onion soup was savory and delicious. For the entree, the Castle Cut has the bone in (24 oz total) and it was one of the best prime ribs that I’ve had. The Au Jus and horseradish on the side was amazing. The creamed corn and spinach were tasty side dishes. For dessert the sampler plate gives you a wide range of options. The cheesecake and chocolate cake were the favorites. Overall, a great, elegant meal that exceeded expectations.

    We went to Summit House for Valentine’s and I can confidently say it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The food was absolutely delicious—every dish was expertly prepared, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Whether you’re a fan of steak, seafood, or their famous prime rib, you won’t be disappointed. What truly set this visit apart, was the impeccable service. The entire staff was welcoming, attentive, and professional, ensuring that every detail of our meal was perfect. A special shoutout to Brandon and Cesar, who went above and beyond to make our evening memorable. Their friendly demeanor, knowledge of the menu, and genuine hospitality made all the difference.

    My wife and I enjoyed a fantastic dinner on Valentine's Day. We were seated at our favorite booth in the main dining room. My wife selected Prime Rib, and I had the halibut substituting mashed potatoes for the rice. We began eating at this restaurant when it opened and have enjoyed many wonderful dinners by ourselves with guests. We even hosted a large wedding reception for one of our daughters. The staff keeps this restaurant organized and running perfectly. The wait staff is always helpful and willing to do what is needed to make it a memorable dining event. These days there are painfully few restaurants that are able to consistently deliver a superb dining experience. Fortunately, the Summit House is one that can and does.

    Always such a treat to go to The Summit House. We went for Valentine's Day and sat outside in the patio section. We loved the views and it was nice and warm because of the well placed heaters. We just wish we weren't so pleasantly full because we would have liked to try one of their delicious looking desserts!
