Since its opening in 1974, prime steaks and martinis have never gone out of style at this Palo Alto institution. The atmosphere is very clubby with fireplaces, dark wood, sports memorabilia and plush leather booths tucked into the many nooks throughout the dining room. Famous for their slow-roasted prime rib & hand-cut U.S.D.A Prime Steaks, they also offer fresh seafood, cold water lobster tail & succulent shellfish. The 20 oz. Bone-In Rib eye Steak is the Boss’ Favorite while the Double Cut Filet Mignon runs a close second. Sundance is respected for serving the best food money can buy coupled with value & simplicity – a welcome relief for serious food & steak aficionados. Sending gratitude and well wishes to and for all the staff that worked so hard on this evening to make our wishes come true. Each of you that we interacted with made this an evening to remember and I hope you know how much your kind gestures, big and small were and are appreciated. -Including allowing us to stand in the way between staff and bar without so much as a grimace or hint of annoyance though it was not lost on me, how frustrating it must have been maneuvering martinis between us on such a busy evening! Thank you and Merry Christmas- may all of your guests be kind and big tippers this holiday and may all your wishes come true!

NOISE LEVEL WAS APPALLING. 14 (!) TIMES I HEARD THE TABLE next to me YELL THE "F" WORD AND THE MANAGER WD **NOT** DO ANYTHING ABOUT THE ARROGANT, ENTITLED MEN's yelling! I COULD NOT EVEN TALK W MY HUSBAND At MY OWN TABLE BC NOISE LEVEL WAS SO EXTREME. WE will not dine there again and have been doing so since 1995 when the $80 NY Strip was $28 for a Sunset dinner. The place has held such sentimental values of happiness. NO More. We might buy food to go, but won't dine there again. the managr shd have given free deserts to the obvious men along w a bill and started clearing the table to rush them out. In stead he was a cowardand didn't care about his other customers.

Come here it’s my friends to celebrate birthdays and special occasions. Foo is always excellent. Service is flawless and Brandon is exceptional. He’s waited on us for many years and we always hope he will be our server. Bravo to Brandon!

Another great time at Sundance. Only issue is which delicious steak to choose! The staff is wonderful. You can not go wrong at the Sundance!
