Supply and Demand in Ottawa, Ontario is the place to go when you have an appetite. You can find quite a few great items on the menu, which changes regularly based on what is available. Some of the common types of items on the raw and marinated portion of the menu include oysters on the half shell, albacore tuna crudo and the carpaccio. Supply and Demand has some great small plates, too. The hot smoked trout, grilled asparagus, kale salad, squid ink rigatoni, roasted mackerel and the pork belly and scallops are good choices, too. Supply and Demand is always fun to visit because of the changing items on the menu.

We did the pasta class at Supply and Demand tonight and it was amazing. We learned how to make scarpinocc and cavatelli. We were about an hour in before I realized it was the owner of Supply and Demand, Steven Wall, who was teaching the class - only 34 and he and his wife have created such a good thing. There were 6 of us in the class which was perfect. There were snacks and bubbly in-between the different pasta-making sessions. Then it was upstairs into the main restaurant where we were served a 3-course dinner (felt more like 6 courses) with wine pairing. And we each got a bag of homemade squid ink pasta to take home. So much fun and the owner is such a good teacher. Highly recommend this!
