When Surf & Sirloin opened its doors in 1994, owner Larry Karagiannis wanted to serve high quality steaks and fresh seafood at a reasonable price.
As for the seafood, Surf & Sirloin has always acquired its fish whole so the product can be inspected on site to ensure quality and integrity. Many favorites include Jumbo Shrimp Tempura (made with REAL beer batter), seared Maine Sea Scallops, Scottish Salmon & oyster’s Rockefeller.
For the steak eaters of the world, Surf & Sirloin offers a variety of different cuts. The tender Filet Mignon with classic Béarnaise is our most popular item but for those looking for more flavor; a hand- cut 14oz New York Strip or the 16oz Rib Eye is the way to go. For a mix of the two, go for the 24 ounce Porterhouse (The cut reserved for Kings).

    We had a great meal as usual yesterday evening. We were pleased to find out it was also the 30th anniversary of Surf & Sirloin. Congratulations to Larry, Stavro, Hamm and the rest of the Karafiannis Family and Suffer & Sirloin staff.

    The food was just okay. Had the filet and it was good the Lobster was tough and chewy over cooked I think. The clam chowder was excellent as was the vegetable soup. The rest of the food was average at best.

    We arrived a little early for our 7pm reservation but were seated immediately. Our server was Cori, who was both friendly and attentive. Our cocktails were heavenly. Our appetizers, the Saganaki and the Maryland Crab Cake were tasty. Our entrees, the NY Strip and the Filet/Lobster Tail, were prepared perfectly, and the crème brûlée dessert didn’t disappoint. Our evening was relaxed, we weren’t rushed because of overbooked reservations, and overall, our experience was outstanding. 🤌🏼. 👍🏼👍🏼 Highly recommended.

    My wife had salmon dijon and it was prepared exactly as she requested and her first comment was that it was so creamy. She also had the mixed vegetables which were very nicely prepared, well seasoned and delicious. I had a tough choice between the 16 oz ribeye (one of my favorites) and the rack of lamb. Since I almost never see rack of lamb as a menu option, it won out. And was it delicious. Seared with nice grill marks, perfectly pink inside, tender, delicious and the seasoning was superb. We finished up with delicious Baklava and coffee which was a perfect finale for a great dinner. A little bit pricey for a regular Saturday night date night, but a great venue for any special occasion.

    We have enjoyed many visits to this restaurant in past years. It is one of our favorites for special occasions. The staff is very warm and recognize us as regular customers. They are leaving OpenTable for some reason.

    Service was on the slower side, but our server was nice. I ordered a rib eye medium rare and it was served to me medium.
