Randy Musterer, better known to sushi fans by his alias Sushi Randy, is embarking on a venture of foodie proportions. Drawing on American style sushi and Asian fusion influences, Sushi [Confidential] offers a unique dining experience through innovation, education and artistry.

Sushi Randy is bringing modern Japanese cuisine to downtown Campbell CA. He draws upon his training at multiple sushi bars in Northern California, as well as his life experience working in the sport fishing industry off the coast of San Diego.

Sushi [Confidential] design by Dennis Baldwin Interiors evokes the beauty of the Japanese design elements with contemporary ease. The interior will also feature works from local artist Lorraine Lawson and Anthony Trayer to further Sushi [Confidential] sleek feel.

The service is always very slow. It is very hard to get anyone to pay attention to your table at first.

Service was good Food Quality: middle of road Ambiance horrible - cold / rear door open and staff was focused on completing closing restaurant chores before customers were done eating (45 minutes before closing) spraying floor mats w hose within ear / eyesight. Adjoining tables upset as well & talking about it Good location Bad Value Proposition

We were sitting for half an hour before we decided to walk out since our server decided to take our order fifteen minutes after sitting and never coming back with drinks. The manager did give me a call asking me to come back and apologizing about our bad experience, but it shouldn't have happened in the first place. Especially since I had a reservation, I would expect more from Sushi Confidential

The sushi was nice & fresh. Really enjoyed the unagi and the RSM roll. Only draw back was that it took a while for someone to take my order, but they were fairly attentive after that.

The sushi was pretty good but many of the roles seemed to have a little too much going on. That seems to be their thing so if you're into that, you may like it more then I did. Might go back again for a quick bite or for lunch.

I've been here a number of times, but the service was quite poor and seemed ridiculously slow for the full lunch crowd. Not only food they seem to only have 2 wait staff for a packed restaurant, I assume there was only 1 sushi chef back there. We ordered 3 rolls and it took a really long time to get them. When we wanted 2 more, those took another 15-20 min, plus 1 roll order never made to the kitchen. Since our waitress was no where to be found, we'd asked the host to find her so we could order another the extra roll, but he said he could take the order. Turns out he couldn't, and didn't. Would have been nice if they'd didcounted something off the bill after we sat there for 20 min and no roll before someone figured that out. It was a bit longer to get it. I'm not sure why they were so slow on a busy Friday at lunch. It was my 1st lunch experience there, and I propably won't do lunch there again anytime soon.

They are one of the few places that can accommodate gluten and dairy free requests. You still have to check the orders though. We ordered two sashimi salads, one of them to meet dietary needs. Both salads came without dressing, but had wontons. It was a quick fix though. All the food was tasty and pitchers of drinks were provided for easy refills. Happy Hours makes it even better.

All the food is always amazing there. They were clearly understaffed for a Friday night and were out of two ingredients needed for our order.
