Sushi Kashiba is Seattle's destination for Japanese fine dining at its highest level. Located right next to historic Pike Place Market. Take a coveted seat at the Omakase sushi bar, where you just might find multi-James Beard Award nominated Chef Shiro Kashiba hard at work.

Ordering one of Sushi Kashiba's chef curated sushi dinners is probably your best bet. The cuts of salmon, toro, tuna, yellowtail and other fish are always fresh and beautifully presented. The meal is finished off with Sushi Kashiba's trademark cake-like egg dessert. The restaurant also features à la carte items like agedashi tofu, oysters on the half shell and Chef Kashiba's New York Times featured black cod kasuzuke.

I had a very mixed feeling after the counter omakase. It is a decent omakase for the price point but I wouldn’t come back. The fish is fresh in general but oily fishes were such as Saba, Aji, and, Kohada were very fishy. Their Shima Aji was decent. Madai, Hirame, Kinmedai, Akami and Otoro were delicious. Their uni was outstanding. The treat was Kama toro which is rare to find even in Japan, but the preparation wasn’t impressive. Rice was not satisfactory as it tasted like rice was broken up. Unagi was super disappointing as it was tempura fried instead of grilled and the sauce was disappointing.

Amazing food, the server absolutely made the experience amazing with his knowledge and insight. For the price, the ambiance was a little common... expected more.

Located just outside the pike market, this sushi destination offers some uniquely prepared sushi. We tried the onakase, 16 pieces of nigiri. Tuna was some of the best in my life. Unique fish sourced from all over the world. Brandon was an excellent server.would visit again.

Consistently professional, fresh sushi and educated staff. Everyone on their staff still wear masks for some apparent reason. Corkage fee for Seattle restaurant average 25.00. They charge $45.00 and a very expensive yet limited wine list. Always nice to see Shero (owner/Chef) in the kitchen as well as stopping at several table to say hello. Rare these days in Seattle restaurants.

I have been to Japan several times and Sushi Kashiba rivals some of the best sushi restaurants I have been to in Japan. I had The Peak and everything was well prepared and served beautifully. Pricey, yes, but well worth it!

Excellent sushi, excellent service. Sushi Kashiba's omakase experience is very much like in Japan, with your own sushi chef for a party of 2. The preparations were all delicious, using local seafood and seafood from around the world, including Japan, Spain, British Columbia, etc. I know very little about sake and asked the server for help in making a selection. She got me exactly what I wanted, despite my inability to describe it well. The omakase experience is not cheap, especially after adding drinks, service charge, and tax, but sometimes, you get what you pay for. It's not the kind of experience one can get just anywhere in the USA and I enjoy myself at Sushi Kashiba every time I go there.

Loved the food and service of omakase for our family of 4…however did not enjoy the table at the end of the restaurant, where 2 of our 4 were facing a drab wall.
