   The miso soup was excellent. Ordered the seaweed salad and it was unlike any I’ve ever had and was delicious. My friends chicken dish was also very yummy. Sushi was good, too.

   First and foremost the ambiance was not nearly like a Japanese restaurant. I realise the location of the restaurant in the Barlow lends itself to be very trendy and hip but I prefer a more Asian feeling when dining on Japanese food, just in general. Our server was pleasant but no warm or welcoming feeling, basically lacking personality. Thankfully the quality of the food made the day. A bit pricey, and by the way, Open Table needs to update the menu they’re showing because it was way off in pricing. Probably will not revisit this restaurant.

   We’ve dined at many Sushi restaurants for many years in SoCal. We found this restaurant needs to update its ambience to meet the style of food it serves. The Sushi was ok but they need to be more creative on its specialty rolls. The service while polite could have been more attentive, even my teenage daughter to works in restaurants commented on this. My recommendation to the owner and staff, don’t be ordinary , be extra ordinary if you want repeat clientele!

   Always excellent and top quality; the Machi Bon and the Tuna tartare tacos are standouts, as are the Citrus and Dragon Rolls; try the wild mushroom miso, too.

   We love this spot in the Barlow. You can eat outside by the fire pit or inside the spacious open room with high ceilings and lots of windows. The food is a step above other Japanese restaurants with their creative appetizers and extrememly fresh fish. Try the Machi balls ( yellowtail wrapped in snawcrab with a sweet tangy sauce and tobika) the chili tofu dish with eggplant is one of our favorites, The mushroom salad is big enough to share. and don't forget to try their home made sesame ice cream and toffee muffin. Yum Yum Yum. friendly servicw but not a place to go if youre in a hurry. but go to hang out and share a delightful meal with friends or family.

   Ordered the Japanese fried chicken app, way too big chunks of white meat chicken with an overcooked, hard exterior. I've made this kind of chicken before and the pieces should be much smaller and crispy. On a more pleasant note the california roll and the sushi were very good. My wife had the eel roll which she thought was only ok because she couldn't taste much of the eel. Probably won't be back

   Best sushi in Sonoma County, hands down. Great bar program and kind staff. Always consistent. These folks work hard with attention to detail to deliver a high quality experience. Only complaint is the wine prices by the glass are high & a small pour. Highly recommend this place.

   The food was fabulous. The waiter was unfriendly, somewhat slow, and delivered the wrong order. He did let us keep the dish we had not ordered and did not charge us for it, so that was a plus. The person paying did not see that a $40 tip was automatically charged and had already left a generous tip so he had to call to have the charge deleted.

    Wonderful waitress, kind and knowledgeable. We enjoyed our service at the sushi counter, the unfiltered sake & bubbly. A robust menu with tasty starters and appetizers. Austere design & elegant decor is appreciated. We met the owner and discussed his vision. We hope this business thrives and survives in Sebastopol.
