Découvrez la cuisine locale du premier établissement texan à avoir remporté le James Beard Award, le bar-restaurant Sustenio, mené par le célèbre chef cuisinier Stephan Pyles, un acteur majeur de la cuisine texane moderne. The staff was nice and validated our parking—it’s free valet parking if you’re eating at the restaurant. Besides the makeshift dining area we were in; the ambience was nice. The menu was limited to two choices— steak for two with sides that my partner and I could not eat….. or a beet salad…. Raw fish small plate …. Another fish dish and cherries jubilee…. We did not want to eat. The steak was the only one of the choices we were willing to eat but it was unavailable. I wish it was specified that only a limited menu was being offered. The main dining area was empty— yet we were seated in what I can only assume a “makeshift” dining area. We were not the only people who got up and walked out. This is a review of my experience and not the flavor of the food.

Service was minimal. Brunch coffee was barely warm. All of out food was cold to warm, I sent back the eggs that I had ordered over easy and they came sunny side up, the manager took them back to the kitchen and approximately 40 seconds later returned withe the exact 2 eggs turned over, I was sitting near the kitchen and watching all of this happen while the 2 guys in the kitchen and the manager where laughing . The waitress and the manager said , Sorry you were inconvenienced . I will never return to this restaurant or hotel.

Before COVID we always went to Sustenio for Mother's Day Brunch, and other special dates. It was fantastic, with many options and quality food and effort. I thought Christmas Day would be the same as it used to be. No where close. They were understaffed, so it took a bit to get seated and order, and you could only order from the menu. The food was just ok, parts of it were great like the potatoes and sausage, but my waffle was totally hard and cold. This will probably be my last time visiting here, which is a shame because it used to be a special place with great food, now just a memory of the past.

Despite having a reservation, my party and I waited for over an hour for our food. When we inquired about the delay, we were given no clear explanation, and despite repeated requests, the manager never came to address our concerns. After waiting for an hour and a half with no food or resolution, we had no choice but to leave.

Good buffet for Thanksgiving. Turkey And trimmings were all excellent. Waiter was also very attentive.

Thanksgiving meal was a disaster. Food cool, expensive with additional charges for gratuity, 25%. Food in plastic containers, cranberries and desserts. $65.00 per person plus gratuity and had to ask for water and old coffee.

We have gone several years and this year offered less choices. Everything was lovely and our waitress was phenomenal, but in comparison to past years it was overpriced.

This place looked quite classy online but when you get there, it definitely has a hotel/diner vibe. Food was mediocre, service was 2 teenage (or very recently 18) girls that didn’t want to be there. It was quiet and pretty empty on a Sunday at 11 so that was nice. I will likely not go back. Denny’s would give us the same experience for less $$.

The food was wonderful!! Everything we ordered from drinks, main course, sides and desserts were wonderful!!! The service was great as well. I highly recommend the salmon and Brussels. The salmon was cooked to perfection and mixture of flavors were great.
