Serving the finest in Steaks, Prime Rib & Seafood for over 60 years. Our founders Jerry and Lee Woods opened Sutter's Mill in 1958 on the corner of Foothill and Sayre in Sylmar. Sutter's Mill moved to Mission Hills in 1960.

Over the next 20 years two more restaurants and a night club were added. In 2007 the founders son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Salli, opened our current location in Simi Valley. While Joe and Salli are still active, day to day operations are run by their daughter-in-law, Marie Robinson. We are all working together to keep the legacy of our founders in tact and allow us to grow into new locations in the future to extend our 63 years in business.

Marie and the SM Crew are SECOND TO NONE in service and quality!! Their outdoor eating area is wonderful and accommodating! SM is the BEST RESTAURANT OVERALL VALUE in Southern California.

Old school steakhouse with the best prime rib in town. Friendly staff and prices can't be beat!

We LOVE this restaurant!! This is the only place we go for big special occasions. Anniversaries, birthdays etc. Their food is incredible as always. Their surf and turf is to die for! They make the best Greg Goose vodka dirty martinis. They make them perfectly the way I ask, including hand stuffed blue cheese green olives for my martini. We love the wine selection, dessert selection and they have excellent options for the appetizers. We love the bacon wrapped shrimp and crab stuffed mushrooms topped with fresh grated Parmesan cheese. If you haven’t tried this restaurant, go and get there as fast as you can. You will feel like you’ve been missing out on a hidden gem of Simi Valley.

The service is always the best here!! The food never disappoints either. Unfortunately, about 7 of 10 items we usually order are now off the menu due to Covid (from what the staff told us). It’s unfortunate that some of our favorite items are off the menu now, but we still go back for a Wally Burger and to say hi to everyone who works there (the most friendly staff ever!)

We had excellent service and everyone enjoyed their meal. The only comment is one of the prime ribs had a large piece of fat, otherwise all else was good.

Enjoyed our server and the food was cooked just right I think mushrooms should be optional on chicken piccata they were everywhere haha! Steak needed a little more seasoning so I needed A1 sauce not overall it was good!! We will be back again

Hurried through our meal. Asked steak well got it med. rare, both. Again waitress at our table every 5 min. Trying to hurry us. We love Sutters Mill. Long/ long time customer but this was over the top. If you over book , the customer should not suffer for it.
