   First time at the Swan since it reopened and we were very favourably impressed. The ambience and decor are really pleasant and imaginative yet well suited to the historic building. Service was friendly and attentive, despite it being Valentine’s night and busy it was not rushed nor too intrusive. The menu was varied and interesting, and everything we had was delicious and really well made. Really excellent fillet steaks, and a tasty unusual panna cotta. The wine menu was limited (it is a pub after all) but good choices and reasonably priced. Overall a very good experience and we will certainly be back…thank you!

   Waitresses need some training weren’t offered any water for the table no condiments and to reach (she literally touched my nose) in front of somebody to pass things to somebody else is the basics of table manners is rude!! Husbands mains wasn’t hot nobody around to let anybody know and we had to pay the bill at the bar as no staff around again. Don’t come here if you want a quiet drink

   Beautifully refurbished dining and bar area, creating a lovely location to eat and drink. Good service, polite and friendly. Our lunch was disappointing, the sea bass was over salted, which masked any other taste. I did tell the waiter soon after starting my meal, who said he would pass that onto the chef, but he did not come back with any suggestions. I took the skin off the fish to make it edible, but unfortunately the strong salt taste stuck in my taste buds, and was present throughout my meal. My mother had chicken schnitzel which had been overcooked, much of it was too hard to eat. It's a shame that the mains were not cooked well, as the panna cotta was very tasty.

   Nice decor. Generally friendly staff. Acoustics not great, quite noisy in the area we were sat so tricky hearing conversation. Good food choice for mains & deserts. Enjoyed food. Tight car park ! Would visit again.

    Service was friendly and professional (room staff) but very slow, presumably with the kitchen being the bottleneck. Food was average. We were a group of 5 and we were all disappointed with our main courses and desserts. The location is great particularly if you can secure a table overlooking the river (which we did). Drinks selection is good and as a pub I would return. For a meal I would choose simple options to be on the safe side.
