Will certainly be going there again. Courteous and professional staff. The food and drinks were expertly prepared and served. Well done, Mahalo!

The reopening of Sweet Waters has been long awaited and much needed by the Eugene dining community. The remodel offers a fresh clean look with great river views. However, the ambient temperature in cold weather will require you to wear a coat in the dining room. I have now dined for Breakfast Lunch and Dinner. The menu's are well designed with creative options that cover all the bases. The back of the house delivers flavorful and well presented dishes using quality ingredients. Unfortunately the front of the house lacks proper training and seems to operate without any supervision.

My friend & I arrived for Sunday Brunch. We were told no cash was accepted only credit card. We were not happy about this as we prefer to pay cash. We mentioned that we were at Sweet Waters a couple of weeks ago and paid cash. The return comment was "the waitress probably used her credit card to pay for your food" WHAT!!! Your table set up could use some attention i.e. no salt & pepper shakers , no jelly and the knife I was given wouldn't cut through my croissant sandwich plus way too much salt was used on the breakfast potatoes. Consideration should be given to those of us to have salt restrictions. Guess it's going to take a little longer to "shake" things out at Sweet Waters.

You be the judge. The ambiance was pleasant, we were quickly shown to a table and a head waiter/maitre d'it promptly arrived with menus and told us that two dishes were sold out. Then we waited 20 minutes without seeing a waiter or waitress to take a drink order. The head waiter / maitre d'it never approached us during that interval. A waitress who served another section noticed our plight and asked us for a drink and food order. We then observed the headwaiter/maitre d'it directing her to pay attention to her own section. Drinks finally arrived 35 minutes after we were seated. Expensive for what they were--2-3 stars. The food came 15 minutes later--2 bowls of clams--well cooked in a tasteless broth. Also a brusccetta of mushrooms--2-3 stars at best. After 75 minutes, Our check : $70 plus a substantial tip to the waitress who dared to service our table. The head waiter / maitre d'it never approached us again. After paying our check, I had a few words with the manager.

Eugene welcomes the return of this riverside gem. The remodel gives a fresh clean vibe yet retains hints of the past. Current bistro menu is tight but offers good options for all diners. Portion size's are on the large side. Looking forward to seeing more specials in the future.

Horrible first visit…. Out of appetizer and table bread , forgot drinks, food came out cold and there was a hair in my steak.

Service was very slow. Food was cold, under-seasoned, and the steak was over- cooked. Clams appetizer was overly fishy and the broth was not good. Fish and chips was greasy. When we told the waitstaff of our issues, they were dismissive and no compensation was offered. It was New Years Eve, but they weren't that busy, and seemed to have sufficient staff.
