A gem that London need more of, food was unbelievable, wine was lovely, atmosphere lovely, perfect for date night or just drinks with friends. I couldn’t recommend this place highly enough, very good value for money, one of the best evenings I have had in London for a very long time, will definitely be coming back! Also, the main host is a top guy!

Apparently Half an hour before we got there where we had a booking, the music artist pulled out and there was therefore no music for the evening We had specifically gone there on our anniversary to listen to some jazz, for a bite to eat and drinks so we were very disappointed. There were not many people there as a result. The girl behind the bar was very helpful though and after telling us about the music suggested some alternative venues. Due to these issues she did not charge us for the round of drinks that we had had which was good. We went to another venue and had a good evening

The food and service was flawless... however our table was next to a curtain which had an outer door where people kept coming and going, slamming the door and letting in a draft... We were there for an hour and there must have been at least 10 people knock into our table and squeeze through which was very noisy and cold...we were a small group, and it took away from the nice lunch I was hoping for... Other tables weren't disturbed so suggest avoiding this area. I was going to mention it, but it was just a bad layout and could be changed easily.

considering it's billed (and advertised) as "sYp - Aldgate - Cocktails, Pizza & Live Jazz" - and there was no pizza... slightly disappointing!

The service was very friendly but a little incompetent. Our waiter didn’t know what gins they had, or if they had cranberry juice and the wine I ordered had run out. We were sat by the waiter at two tables pushed together only to be told later that we had to separate the tables, and a single table wasn’t really big enough for 3 people. When the pizzas arrived we were given pizza cutters but no cutlery.

Really nice place but a couple of things let it down. Firstly, we booked a table for dinner, but were seated on a sofa with coffee table which wasn't exactly conducive to eating easily. Secondly, one of the pizzas on the menu was listed as vegetarian but in fact had anchovies on it! The food and the drinks themselves were very tasty it has to be said. All in all, I'd recommend this place but with a few caveats
