   We ate at Tahoe Joes in Roseville north of Sacramento for over 25 years. We'd go for birthdays, anniversaries and always New Years Eve with our neighbors. We always ordered the same thing every time; Joe's Dinner for Two. About 2 years ago, all Tahoe Joes in Northern California closed. We were CRUSHED as this was our very favorite restaurant, and always consistently great and delicious. We saw there were 3 remaining Tahoe Joe's in Central Valley and Southern California, and vowed next time we went to LA we'd stop for dinner. Last Sunday was our day. Picture two seniors, dying of thirst and famished in the desert, with a Tahoe Joe's on the horizon. We were both absolutely THRILLED our favorite dinner of Railroad Camp Shrimp and Joe's smoked steak, a tender moist tri-tip not found at any other restaurant was still on the menu. The food was outstanding in every way, and we thoroughly enjoyed and savored each morsel. Our waiter Raymond was very attentive, and we had great service despite it being a busy Sunday after Thanksgiving with many large families and groups. The atmosphere was good, but our closed location in Roseville will always be the best of any TJ's we ever visited, and was absolutely Lake Tahoe Lodge 5 star. If you are near Fresno, Visalia or Bakersfield, be sure to stop in. The dinner for two is pricey at $79, but you'll feast like royalty and have a bag of leftovers to take home. We waited about 2-1/2 years to make it by Fresno, and I'm jealous of all the people who live there and can eat a superb meal anytime they want. Highly recommended. The Railroad Camp Shrimp appetizer is the best app we've ever had and is unique in the insanely crunchy tempura batter and pour over Asian sauce. The Nevada Cheesecake remains one of our top 2 favorites.

   Rather busy the night we visited the restaurant, so our delivery of food and drinks was somewhat slower than recent visits. Waitress was very friendly and did a good job of looking after us. Cole, the manager on duty, was as helpful, friendly, and courteous as he has always been. Food and drinks were delicious, and we did enjoy our visit.

   The Joe's steaks are amazing. Went here for veterans day.....the Jack burger was a free vet meal and wife hot the Joe's steak sandwich.....we split both and they both were just really tasty.

   Another good evening of dining at Tahoe Joe's! Good drinks, good food, very good service. Keep asking about the plans to return Halibut to the menu for the Fall/Winter months, but not happening yet. This is a considerable downer! Otherwise we were treated well by our server, and the manager continues to be a jewel for this restaurant!

   The food was absolutely wonderful and the atmosphere was great. It had been awhile since we had here but the wait was worth it. We are already planning our next visit.

    Trevor, our waiter, could not have been more accommodating and it was a pleasure to have him serve us! We had contact with the manager, Cole, who has always been very helpful and friendly, a real treasure! Food was perfect, drinks were tasty, and served in a very timely manner. An altogether enjoyable experience, and relaxing evening!
