Takam’s philosophy is about #filipinofoodforward which showcases to their culture, nostalgia and passion for the traditional flavours and techniques of Filipino cuisine, but delivers in a elavated, harmonious and personalized manner. Takam are also inspired by the native Australian produce at Sydney’s doorstep, using native ingredients in their traditional cuisine and honouring both, will be at their forefront. A hybrid concept bought to life from lifelong friends, Francis Dela Cruz, Aileen Aguirre and Lesley Roque.

    Such an incredible meal—amazing food, inventive cocktails, and beautiful service. More than once, we found ourselves saying, “This might be the best version of [x] I’ve ever had,” whether it was the chilli margarita, the chicken, or the flan. And for just about everything else, we kept saying, “Wow, I’ve never had anything like this before.”

    It was really good we had the chicken inasal and the litson beef brisket and it was so hard to choose which one was better. A really good twist to filipino cuisine. Loved the experience would definitely recommend!

    Highly recommended. Takam elevates Filipino cuisine. It’s a modern take with the same nostalgic flavours. The staff are very friendly and attentive. Great place for a nice dinner with family and friends.

    The food was delicious and the staff were fantastic. We had a great evening trying out what Filipino cuisine really could be. Must say the real highlight was the dessert, Ube Halaya Slice. It hit all our boxes as far as dessert goes.

    Food was fantastic, the waiting team was good but needs a little bit more attention to detail to elevate them. Some tips to help for future services, make sure to serve water after offering, clearing out menus after ordering, clearing dishes and not leaving them there when other dishes arrive, reset of the table/new plates and cutlery before mains arrive. Love the concept of Filipino Food Forward, so will be back!
