   The host was very rude. I had made two reservations so my daughter could have an ‘event’ with her friends when we made the reservation, separate from us chaperones. When we arrived he said, , ‘yeah, we don’t do that’. It was fine, but WTF? Good job aiming for “fine”. Also, $36 for two guacamoles? No thanks.

   The service was exceptionally fast and the food was great. We all enjoyed our items and beverages. Good choice for a casual dinner in a great location, near Larimer

   We had a business lunch today with five people. The food is usual was outstanding. Had a couple appetizers and different lunch entrées. Everything was served hot and was very flavorful. However, the service was definitely lacking today. Iced teas and beverages were not refilled, and there was lots of confusion when the entrées were brought out, regarding whose was whose. Several of us had the same dish, but with different cooking temperatures for the protein. At this level restaurant and the prices, things need to be a little more buttoned up.

   This was one of the best dinners we have had in Denver. We went here after the theatre matinee and from the chips & guacamole to the pork and skirt steak; the flavors the chef puts together just look beautiful and tasted even more amazing. Oh and the Margarita’s were sublime. Can’t wait to come back - pleasant servers, waitstaff and bartenders with a great fun atmosphere!!! Reservations accepted make life easier. Go ….. Soon!

   The the queso wasn’t really queso. It was just melted cheese on a skillet. Recommended by our server but honestly, it wasn’t my favorite. It was really greasy and just too much cheese once it wasn’t hot anymore it had a weird texture. I did enjoy the rest of our meal and the churros

   We had reservations on a busy Fri. night in Denver. We were seated right away; however, in a table right behind the host station so you could feel the cold every time the front door was opened. The steak fajitas and tortilla soup were both above average. We felt the chips/salsa, dessert, and drinks were just mediocre. Our waitress was not attentive and maybe checked in with us once when we were done eating and asked if we wanted dessert. She never even asked if we wanted anything else from the bar - very unusual. The nice gentleman who filled our waters and cleared our plates was the shining star of the service team. Not sure I need to go back any time soon as there are many other options in the area.

   We enjoyed Tomayo and will definitely dine there again. Our waiter recommended the Halibut tacos and they did not disappoint. We also enjoyed the chips, salsa and guacamole. Lively restaurant with amazing aromas.

   Over the years, I have eaten at Tamayo many times. I found the meal this time disappointing. It was good, just not great. The flavors all blurred together. The salmon was raw in the middle. The pork shoulder had large chunks of fat. The overall impression was of a nice but not extraordinary meal. For what we paid, it should have been extraordinary.

    Excellent guacamole and chips. Excellent salad and 3 entrees for me and my guests. Strongly recommend.
