Located within the historic Grand Condominium in Edgewater, Tanka is Miami's newest East Asia-inspired culinary adventure. Executive Chef Taek Lee masterfully pairs world-class contemporary Chinese cuisine with inviting, izakaya-inspired cocktails.

Such a bad server, he did know what was AQUA PANNA (regular water) , and he showed attitude when I asked if they had AQUA PANNA saying something like “what is that”… I order a short ribs rice with an addition of chicken and I’m still here thinking where the chicken was in that plate yesterday. Also when I made the reservation I asked that I wanted a desert after the dinner and the same server didn’t know anything about even when the Hostes told him my request And to close the night the same server that was doing all of the position at the same time in the restaurant (barman, cashier. Server, ) he charged me twice the bill on my card and if I wouldn’t have checked my bank account he was no going to te tell me anything about it. Terrible service, terrible server, never come back.

We met quickly last night when you and one of your guests were checking your account when you added it up and she explained to you that there was not a double payment. As for dessert, we were unaware of allergies or which dessert requested, which is why he asked. I would be happy to refund you the cost, mistakes do happen, and I would be happy to correct it if this happened.

We went for our anniversary. Saturday 8:30pm restaurant was empty. Appetizers never arrived after 40min, so we left. Very disappointed.

Sushi chef was sick so wrote off half the menu (the reason we chose the restaurant) but the food was still delicious and portions v generous.

Overall an underwhelming experience. The ambiance needs a huge improvement. Food was ok.

I’d love to give it 5 stars but the whole restaurant was dead on a Saturday night (3 tables including us). I understand it’s a very difficult location especially with the tourist demographics that stay in the building’s hotel…but better marketing myst be done. The food was GREAT, best cucumber salad I’ve ever had in my life. The short rib noodles were also fantastic. We were told valet is comped with their sticker but outside were told it’s $3 discount from $15. Overall I would go back because of the food and good prices but it’s a shame the beautiful space is empty.

Unfortunately, the food left much to be desired. Service was also not good. Our server never said that the plates were family style until AFTER we ordered our food- which would have made a difference in how we ordered. Kept having to ask other workers to call our server over because he was no where to be found despite there only being two other tables inside. When waiting for dessert (for over 25 minutes) we could see the kitchen all joking around other and not getting any food ready.
