A lovely evening with very good food served quicker than expected. Service prompt, very friendly and knowledgeable re wine choices and dishes. We found the noise levels from the band in the bar a bit too loud but when the door was closed it was fine for us Definitely return as a regular venue

Had a lovely dinner at Tanswell’s - the staff are always so nice and the food is tasty. My number one dining choice in Beechworth.

Great atmosphere in an historic pub. Light meal was excellent and friendly staff were attentive but not pushy.

Best pub in Beechworth. Food is always fantastic, great wine lust with loads of local wines and a lovely pub to sit in.

We enjoyed the amazing food, and the environment with an open fire. We loved the meals, Goat and a beautifully cooked steak. Also the welcome and service was great.

Beautiful old pub, great food. We had the steak sandwich which was delicious, home-made relish so good. The open fires and live music created a very relaxing afternoon. Local wine list also fabulous.
