   Walking into the restaurant, we were just taken away by the decor. We reserved a table at the roof top. We did not realize the roof top had a different menu from the restaurant and also served different cocktails. This was our first time in Panama, and Tantalo was recommended multiple times on social media. Our server was very nice, and we were relocated to the restaurant for our dinner. The service there was excellent, food was just okay. We were not disappointed, just not as "wowed" as we expected.

   Unfortunately really poor service. Waited for about 45 minutes for my waitress to return to place a food order. She never did and ignored me trying to flag her down to place an order. Had a glass of wine then went to the bar to check out because the server never returned.

   We had dinner on the first floor, which was pretty quiet. It looks like the hotel is upstairs. We had heard there was a rooftop bar but we weren't seated there. The decor is colorful and Instagram-ready. We had some miscommunciations with the server and ended up with two more dishes than we wanted. The prices weren't bad and the food was really good. The ropa vieja empanadas were delicious, thankfully, because we had to eat a lot of them.

   Nous y étions pour notre 30ieme anniversaire de mariage et aussi car les rooftop sont à faire à Panama city. Quelle déception! Malgré un serveur très gentil, le service était extrêmement lent. Nous avons commandé deux entrées et deux cocktails. Nous avons voulu commandé une bouteille de vin pour aller avec nos entrées mais elle n’est jamais arrivée! Nous avions même commandé une entrée supplémentaire. Nous avons arrêter de manger pour attendre le vin mais avons finalement décidé de canceller le vin et l’entrée. Nous avons bu l’eau restante de nos cocktail (glace fondue) en guise de breuvage Le serveur s’est excusé. Je ne crois pas que c’était de sa faute. En conclusion, le tantalo n’est pas le rooftop à faire!! Très peu de table (malgré la grandeur et les possibilités ) donc atmosphère correcte sans plus. Le positif; la musique était bonne et la vue incroyable!!

   Ate on rooftop. Shortly after arriving an extremely drunk couple sat beside us and began to smoke. I asked to be moved elsewhere but the only other open tables were VIP. I asked if public smoking was allowed which I know it IS NOT in Panama was told that they PREFER people not to but there was nothing they could do. Besides that food was great and service was good despite their unwillingness to ask people to obey the actual law.

   It was our last dinner in Panama City after seven nights and by far the best meal, service and atmosphere of our trip.

   We originally made reservations for the rooftop, but upon further review of limited menu decided to dine in restaurant. The live music was great and a nice added touch to the experience. All of the food was outstanding including entrees and dessert. The only hitch ( which was due to the rainy night and super busy restaurant) was that our service was slower than we expected ( they were very cognizant of it and apologized when one diner received their entree and the other three were still waiting). However, once the food came out everyone loved it and appreciated acknowledgement from management that it was not up to their high standard. We were provided a complimentary dessert and promise of better service should we decide to return. We do recommend this restaurant for the food, ambiance and live music and plan to return on future visits for cocktails on the rooftop.
