TAO Chicago offers guests a sensual trip through the cuisines of Asia. The design-driven restaurant and adjoining nightclub is inspired by the original TAO locations in New York City, Las Vegas and Los Angeles.

TAO Chicago features multiple levels, creating dynamic spaces within the historic building’s shell, while adding TAO’s Asian-influenced DNA to the restaurant, lounge and nightclub including murals by artist Hush and TAO’s signature 16-foot-tall Quan Yin statue anchoring one end of the dining room.

TAO Chicago’s restaurant menu, created by TAO Group Partner and Chef Ralph Scamardella , is complete with Pan-Asian offerings from the sea, sky and land including signature dishes like Satay of Chilean Sea Bass, Crispy Rice Tuna and a Wagyu Rib-Eye.

The hostage has an extraordinarily service attitude, outstanding attitude of all the personnel involved. Food recommendations were so tasty, meals and desserts are fabulously presented. We’ll definitely be back soon.

Unfortunately, we must’ve gone this restaurant on a bad night. We came in place our orders and received our appetizers and soup quite fast. Then we proceeded to wait over an hour without any drinks waiting for entrées to arrive. Once the waiter finally did come by we asked for drinks and he said he would check on our order. At that time, our appetizers and soup came out again. We told him this was not correct and they said they’d quickly get out an entrée. Once again, we waited another 30 minutes without any entrée or drinks. At that point I gave up flagged down an additional waiter and asked them just to close me out. He did, but once they gave me the check, it was for the wrong table. He had to go back to locate the correct check and credit card. My last request was just to please bring me out a tea and water before I left. They said they would get it immediately. Considering everything I went through I hoped that would be done correctly. Once again, I had to wait and flagged on additional waiter to get a tea and ice tea. On the way out, my wife informed the manager and there was minimal proactive response. Obviously, we will not returned to this restaurant. The service is quite poor, compared to the other restaurants in Hollywood in Las Vegas. Be warned.

Unfortunately, my friend and I traveled all the way from Wisconsin to enjoy a meal at this restaurant that I have been to a few times. In the past, I have really been impressed with the food, the service, and the drinks, as well as the ambiance. This visit we were turned away at the door saying that the books had been closed for the night, and our reservation was canceled. I received no forewarning that this occurred. In fact, I got a confirmation text saying to confirm my reservation the day before. I asked to speak to one of the managers and was assisted by James who told me everything was shut down due to a St Patrick's Day event and the only thing he could do for us was allow us into the club and offered us a couple of drinks as well as having dinner on him next time we come. I have not received a phone call from James or anyone from the restaurant confirming this follow-up dinner. I'm hoping that someone from Tao reaches out to me regarding this matter.

"Tao" is a very good restaurant on its own merits, but it's the scenery of the place and how it caught my attention at very first glance-which turned into a stare of amazement at how huge and spacious the place was. Now either it was just my imagination or the place is really that big as it appears while you're standing above looking downward upon the complete dining area & scene of the place, which if I would have had to guess is about 1/2 of a city block in length and half of that distance in width (even though indoors) or again maybe I was just that amazed. To be seated well on the main (or bottom floor) you are escorted down the stairs, which are in resemblance of being inside an Asian-style temple of some sort (yes, I was that starstruck about the appearance and views), and they succeeded in setting that mood and theme with the Asian-style decor. My party of 5 was seated and greeted by our waiter promptly, and because I'm an avid "Open-table”user, I was well aware in advance what I wanted to order for the drinks and appetizers & leading to my main dish. The food was very tasty, well-prepared, seasoned, and flavorful (as you may or may not be able to tell by the pictures posted). My entire party appreciated the service and ambiance. Highly recommend 10 out of 10.

Waiter was great, it’s beautiful restaurant, but the food is PF Changs level just extremely overpriced. Our 6 year old enjoyed the food!

The ambiance and my waiter was excellent. The food was good, but the price for the appetizers is feel were a lil overpriced.

Service and waitress was great. Ordered a lobster pad Thai and received a plate fill of mushrooms . Lol. The waitress agreed and did mention to the chef. Other than that we had a great dining experience.
