   service was pretty bad, took her 15 minutes to greet our table. i had to beg people to bring our waitress over multiple times. she never even asked if our food was okay or refilled drinks until they were bone dry and i had to flag someone down and beg for a refill. i ate half my meal without a drink. my burger was also severely undercooked but i just ate around it because i knew i would never be able to get our server over and it would take forever when we had already waited so long for her to do anything. food was actually pretty good besides the undercooked burger though. service was just horrendous not sure if it was just an understaffed night though, our server was nice, but was just not present at all.

   The food and service were excellent. I wasn’t expecting a Sports Bar type atmosphere on NY Eve. Football game on all TVs and very loud cheering and screaming. I was expecting a different vibe for NYE

   I was so excited to eat here. Being gluten free I know my options are limited, which is why I booked a reservation a month and a half before going so I know I’d be able to eat something I enjoy. When we got to the restaurant the first impression was the server was apathetic and not interested at all in helping us. We asked her for recommendations on drinks and she flatly answered. That left a bad taste in my mouth already, but it wasn’t what really made me give them a bad review. It finally comes time to order, I order a burger on a gluten free bun. She says “we don’t have that” i said “the menu says you do” she said “no we’re out”. No apologies, no offer to go check. I ask her to please double check. She does and when she comes back, again no apologies. No offers of an alternative meal other than “a burger with no bun” which lets be real- no one wants that. So I wound up with a Caesar salad and fries. It tasted fine, no complaints there, but the entire experience was rude and disappointing.

   This place is a great addition to the bustling Mercato. I have eaten her three times now and the food and cocktails are very good. I especially enjoy the peachy lychee cocktail. I highly recommend the crispy rice with salmon and calamari tower for apps. Our party ordered for entrees the salmon zen bowl, sushi bowl, skirt steak, beef and noodle bowl and chicken parm. With the exception of the chicken parm which was not anything special (nor was the accompanying pasta sauce spicy as described in the menu), everyone enjoyed their dishes which were tasty, plentiful and prepared to their liking. While the wait staff was pleasant, the overall service in terms of timing of food preparation could be improved. For example, our apps were all not served simultaneously and one even came out at the same time as our entrees. Overall, this is a solid place for casual pub food with a twist, and we will return in hopes of seeing the service improved.

   It was a busy nite in Mercado so we had to Wait a half hour for a table outside The food took an hour to arrive The manager apologized and comped the meal. Our server was nice but of course she had no control over the kitchen . The table next to us was full of dirty dishes that were not cleared away for a very long time We enjoyed the food once it came but not sure we will return anytime soon

   After being seated outdoors as requested, our party of 4 waited a long time before a waitress came by. Two of us ordered vodka tonics. What we received, we believe, was seltzer water. Our waitress didn’t apologize but did replace them with the correct drinks. I ordered a Caesar salad with chicken. What I was given was a totally different salad. I finally got the right one, with no apology. My husband ordered a Diet Coke and later asked for a refill which he never got. No apology. I don’t recommend the chicken Caesar salad as it was very bland. My husband’s chicken lettuce wraps weren’t great. The side of plantains were very good as well as the side of spicy rigatoni a la vodka sauce. However, all agreed that we might try Tap 42 again and hope for better service.

    We have been to Tap 42 at least five times since October as it had become a favorite but it was a HUGE disappointment tonight. Our table wasnt ready, the manager offered free desserts which was very nice but they were never offered! Our Waiter was overwhelmed. We never got a second round of drinks ordered, kids meals were not served as requested and the bill had several errors.
