We came for New Years so didn’t have any expectations. We arrived and the restaurant was fairly quiet, which was refreshing. Our appetizers came out quickly but the mains came out staggered 2 at a time, so we didn’t eat all together. My steak was good but the side of brocollini was salty, the server checked in but before i had tried the side. Overall food was good. We enjoyed the complimentary sparkling wine for the NYE countdown toast. Our server had an issue with the machine when we went to pay, we ended up using a CC instead of debit but found that all the machines were not taking our debit, it kept saying declined or error which was inconsistent. Usually if that happened there’s a main machine at the bar or front that works but our server said there wasn’t that available. Overall good but probably wouldn’t go back again for an event based on the good and payment issue.

Food and service was great. The only complaint was that we arrived for our reservation 15 minutes early and the hostess had us wait until our scheduled reservation rather than seating us - despite 85% of tables being unoccupied. Eventually we were seated in a table that was empty the entire time as we stood and waited. We were puzzled by that.

Great food and love half price bottles of wine! Service was great both times we’ve been there!

Second visit here, both times have been amazing. Food is so good, good portions, good value. Staff are super friendly. Love the vibes, music, cool artwork.

Food was better than previous visits but unfortunately the service was quite awful. Always trying to track down server to order, table never cleared.

First time at Tap and Barrel, it was less than a great experience. We ordered drinks, a beer and an espresso martini. After 10 minutes the waitress came to inform me something about the espresso maker and they couldn’t make the martini.. not sure why we were still waiting for a beer at this point?! We asked for a gluten free menu twice, asked for forks twice which then she said they have run out so she would have to wash some?! we waited about 1/2 hour to 45 minutes for our dinner. The waitress forgot that we ordered coffee…the food was great but that was about it. We won’t go back.

It was simple, sitting near the window is extremely cold just fyi. Food was ok but expensive for what it is. it was so loud between the music & the tables all crammed together upstairs i couldn’t hear each other talk felt like a nightclub. Felt like we were being rushed to leave but the restaurant wasn’t full. Service was good from the waitress.
