Tarantelli’s is located on Second Street, just one block from Front Street and in walking distance to the Cape Fear River. The restaurant and event venue is located in the historic district of downtown Wilmington. This lively area spans 230-plus blocks and is home to some of the best bars, restaurants, churches, architecture, and selection of fine art. There are several parking facilities nearby, but you can also reach Tarantelli's year round via horse drawn trolley and carriage, river taxi, trolley cars, or on foot.

    The inspiration behind this restaurant was drawn from our grandfather, Anthony "Tony" Salvatore Tarantelli ("Papa") and our grandmother Mabel Tarantelli. Both Tony and Mabel believed that home cooked food brought family together. Our Papa's love for Italian food came from his father, Salvatore Tarantelli, who was born in the Abruzzo region of Italy in the province of L’Aquila. It is here that Tony began to appreciate Italian cuisine at its purest. Both Tony and Mabel were amazing cooks and deserve the credit for passing on many of our family recipes that we now have the pleasure and privilege to share with you.

    It’s a beautiful restaurant with wonderful food. The charcuterie board was amazing. The small was large and enough for four or five people.

    We had a wonderful 50th anniversary dinner. Gavin was a fantastic server. My limone pasta was one of the best I’ve evee had. Gavin brought us a complimentary cannoli that wished us happy anniversary. All in all a beautiful experience.

    Been there twice now the first time the service was excellent. This around our waitress wasn’t very attentive and didn’t seem like she wanted to help us at all. We had to ask other waiters for things.

    Outstanding meal and service. Erica was our server and she was delightful. We got the eggplant parm and shrimp and sausage pasta. Best meal in a very long time. Oh - the wagyu beef appetizer is not to be missed! Almost got one to go! Overall was a wonderful experience. Highly recommend!

    The service was great! Our food came out quick and was amazing! We had a Spaghetti e Polpette and Gnocchi Al Limone e Gamberi. We also had the Nodini All’Aglio and tiramisu. Everything was delicious!

    We started with the bruschetta filet mignon. The filet was excellent but the sauce overwhelmed the dish. Plus there was almost no melted cheese. The veal piccata had such thin veal there was no taste. The veal marsala was good as was the pasta.

    Tarentellis was great and a shout out to Erica, a great waitress! We have friends visiting from Arizona and the one request they had was to have dinner at Tarentellis!
