   Huge shoutout to you guys for making my Valentine’s Day perfect! Jeff is one outstanding individual and couldn’t be happier to have spent my date night with my fiancé here. Amazing ambience and stellar food! Always going to be back at this Portland staple!

   Another great meal at Tartuca. We sat at the chef's counter and have to give a hand to Sean, the line cook who was super friendly and funny. Highly recommend the lamb meatball, smoked trout Caesar, squash gnudi, and carina duck dishes. Their wine list is outstanding and full of rare gems. We got a bottle of Gian Luca Colombo Pelaverga which paired fantastically with all of our dishes. Can't recommend this restaurant enough.

   We had a reservation for dinner, and were promptly seated upon arrival. The place is cute, cozy, and we love a good open kitchen view. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable, and prompt and helped us with any questions we had about the menu. Our favourites were definitely the appetizers, but all of the food was absolutely delicious. We were on the last day of dry-January, so we’re looking forward to returning this next month to try some of the fabulous looking cocktails they had on the menu. Excellent place, food, and service overall. We will certainly be back!

   One of the best restaurants in Portland. Every time we go to Tartuca we are blown away by the food and the service. A hidden gem we cannot recommend enough!

   Food was good, service could have been better. Did not get asked at all if I'd like another drink after finishing first, focaccia was delicious, but cold..like just got out of the refrigerator cold....odd.

   Tonight was our third visit to Tartuca and while the first was impressive, each one has been better than the last. The kitchen does an extraordinary job of presenting fresh ingredients in original combinations. The Osso Buco is absolutely the most tender and flavorful one I’ve ever enjoyed. The fresh pastas were perfectly al dente and the focaccia should be legendary. Ask Jeff the Sommelier to propose a wine to match your dinner choice, you will be delighted!

   Great experience- Osso Bucco and Bucatini were exquisite. The focaccia bread was fresh, hot out of the oven delicious. Great service and fun to sit at counter.

    This Italian restaurant translating to "Tortoise" served up tasty and hot food on a changing menu along with excellent Italian wines. We sat in one of the two fish bowl booths at the entrance to the restaurant, and it made the experience cozy for our party of four. The server and staff were courteous, knowledgable, and attentive. The Pork Osso Bucco, which featured a meaty and succulent shank nestled in a generous bed of saffron risotto, was perfect for a cold winter's evening meal. The Olive Oil Poached Sablefish delivered on the ocean fish's promised richness. The Bolognese, featuring Tartuca's homemade Radiatori pasta, was delectable. We also enjoyed the house Sangiovese, which was reasonably priced for a restaurant wine. This was our first visit to Tartuca, but certainly not the last.
