   The atmosphere was very inviting. We were acknowledged and greeted right away. The service was good! We got a kick out of the robot delivering our food. That was so cool! The drink specials were very affordable. I had a glass of the red blend which was $7.25. I enjoyed the taste and appreciated that it wasn't an over priced glass of wine. The shareable appetizers were fairly priced and the portions were generous. We tried the cornbread and the macaroni and cheese. Both were tasty and I'm normally not a fan of cornbread in general. It had a sweet spicy taste combination going on as it had jalapenos in it but not overbearing to make it too spicy. I ordered the Salmon BLT. OMG!!!!!! It was so delicious! It was so flavorful and had some sort of sauce on it that had a little kick and I loved it! The fries were real potatoes which I appreciate in this faux food world today. My friend got the Salmon entree and the Salmon looked so moist and she said it was flavorful as well. As we closed out, our server said they didn't take cash. That was a bit surprising but in today's world who really ever uses cash. I just happened to have some on me that day but this didn't take away from the experience at all. I will definitely return! We are already planning to return in the Summer for happy hour! Looking forward to it.

   I went at night time, service was great. The food was so yummy, I ordered the chicken and waffles. It was very sweet and thick but I enjoyed it. My friends had the catfish and the muscle and shrimp pasta (blanking on the name). Everything we had was very tasty and affordable. We missed happy hour by a few minutes but the menu looks good as well, I’ll definitely be back to try some more things especially during happy hour. If you’re looking to support a black owned restaurant this is definitely a great place.

   Service was phenomenal. The heat on that grilled jalapeno dip was a bit unexpected but nonetheless pleasant and tasteful. It was my first time trying mussels and that white wine sauce was so pungent and flavorful! Will definitely be back for another taste of that BBQ whiskey lemonade.

    Ate here yesterday for Chicago Restaurant Week. Our table ordered the Cobb salad for the first course, the chicken and the salmon for second courses, and key lime pie for the third. The food was exceptional except for the key lime pie which was good. I'm kind of a key lime pie snob and I'm not throwing shade by calling this one good but it didn't rise to the level of the rest of the food nor other key lime pies available locally. To be clear, it was good though. The service was impeccable from checking in at the host stand to the service throughout our meal. I wish I could recall our server's name but I can't. We were sitting close to the open kitchen and it was clear that the Chef was on top of everything happening there, as was his staff. Also appreciate that he was willing to make a first course substitution to accommodate a restriction that my friend had. She was willing to forgo that course completely but the server and kitchen went above and beyond to ensure she enjoyed the full experience. This restaurant is in my 'hood and I'll be back. Highly recommend.
