   Overall, decent experience. Feel like the new restaurant is still getting under its process and service. Steaks were definitely elevated and very good. Cocktails also great. Appetizers were not very good, and our service took 3+ hours.

   What a gorgeous space! Our waiter Eddie made the evening special and made stellar recommendations. The new Tavern’s menu is more elevated than their old menu and I miss some of the old offerings. Food was good. Amy, The Sommelier, was stellar and a joy to work with. She did an exceptional job pairing champagne and wine with our dinner. Overall, the same notable service remains! Great experience by a stellar team!

   I loved the ambiance, decor and the service was impeccable. My meal, Branzino fish was delicious and plentiful. Calamari appetizer was tasty. I’m curious why Tavern on the Rush dropped serving ribs, the broiled pork chops and wedge salad. In the past- those items were the best. My friend whom we were celebrating her birthday used to come for those dishes. She ordered the pork shank which she didnt care for because she thought since it was pork, it would have a similar taste to the pork chops. So she didn’t enjoy her meal. The margaritas were watered down- maybe too much ice but I was extremely disappointed in that- for $23. Our server Leah was excellent. The burgers and New Your Strip steak looked very appetizing.

   Excellent food. Even better mimosas. We had a quiet brunch early Saturday morning and everything was perfect. The food quality was super and the staff were very friendly. We will definitely eat here again!

   Our server was wonderful! He smoothed over the missteps the management made. First my reservation for a a special occasion was moved from the upstairs dining to a room near the bar under the Jumbotron TV a couple hours before our arrival. A disappointment I expressed over the phone to the hostess when she called to confirm the reservation. I asked about the change and really wasn’t given a good explanation until we arrived by our server. She told me the downstairs dining area is as nice as upstairs. I told her it’s not. At this point, a manager should have stepped in due to her inexperience. The huge television flickered light which created an unpleasant lighting situation…Strobe like. I did not want a sports bar atmosphere. Our reservation was midweek after the holidays. Not busy but certainly in a very competitive restaurant environment…service, food and experience should always be consistent. The food was good but not great. Whipped ricotta and a meatball, pasta with shrimp and a seafood stew. I’m allergic to some seafood. I asked to omit mussels from one of the dishes…the chef replaced it with clams. Really?! Our server informed us the menu changed and clams were not printed on the menu. That is a big mistake in the restaurant business. Our server was great correcting the mistake to accommodate me and my husband. One of the managers stopped once briefly at our table to ask how’s everything before our entrees arrived. Our cocktails and wine were excellent. We spent close to $ 375 for 2 people. I feel we deserved a better experience for the price. I would come back hoping my experience would be better.

    The overall experience was amazing! The food, and drinks were phenomenal. The staff was very courteous, they paid attention to notes on the reservation for special occasions. Highly recommend and hope to return here again!
