The food exceeded my expectations. Specifically I was impressed with the Greek Salad, which was not the typical American Greek salad. Everything was delicious and fresh.

We ordered a pizza and had to send the first one back as it was very charred and lukewarm. The second one was some better but still not as good as ones we’ve eaten there in the past. We also ordered a Caesar salad and it was a generous size but lacked flavor. Overall we were disappointed in our meal.

Biggest pet peeve is when we sit down, order drinks and apps, and the apps show up 15 min prior to a bottle of wine ordered. The place was maybe 1/4 full. The apps came out luke warm…clearly not freshly made. The flavors were there with the food, but highly disappointed in timing and lack of making it fresh. Something else was the wine glasses had lines on them to indicate pour level. Really?! I thought this was supposed to be a nice place. So tacky to have that on wine glasses. Lastly, the bar area versus the dining room is the way better option for decor and scenery. The dining room was boring, plain and you could see a storage area. Again, just not well thought out. Felt like cheesy corporate dining. Thank goodness our delightful server was on point. Even she knew the food ready prior to drinks was wrong. Just DO BETTER Taverna. Maybe that’s why you weren’t busy on a Friday eve

Our server Luke was fantastic. The portions of food were good but the Gyro was so salty I could barely eat it.

Courteous, welcoming staff eager to help us enjoy our meal. Food was good and tasty though not especially memorable.

We really enjoyed this place. Be aware they charge a 8% service charge. Our waitress was fantastic. She was the only server as they sent the other one home before they got busy. She handled all the tables perfectly.

Arrived in Flagstaff...last minute dinner plans made at Taverna. Very nice, open and cozy space, plus very friendly staff! Food was pretty tasty and portions are large! We ordered the Wok charred salmon and the Gyro. We recommend this place for casual night out.
