   Will not be going back to Tavolo. The first 3 bottles of wine we ordered they did not have. My wife ordered the pork chop, they were out of that as well. She ended up ordering the skirt steak which came out overcooked and tasted horrible. I ordered the frutti di mare which was OK. The pistachio cake dessert was very good. Overall a terrible first impression. The waitress was sweet and was kind of embarrased at her situation. No manager came out to see how we were doing or apologize for the items they were missing. Will not go back!

   David, I apologize for a less than stellar experience that you relate. Sometimes we get caught up in supply chain issues, and that can happen anywhere. We do not offer skirt steak but I assume you meant the Steak Frittes. No matter, presenting a poor entree is not acceptable to us, either.    The food was outstanding. The short ribs were meaty, not fatty, and on a huge rib bone. I asked for risotto instead of the masked potatoes and it was a delicious mushroom risotto. The veg was great and my husband’s Wedge Salad and shrimp dish were great as well. This place is a hidden gem. Run… don’t walk to this fabulous restaurant.

   Went on a Saturday night . They were out of 2 of the 4 dishes as well as the wine that was ordered . Don’t think we will return.

   Quiet for a Saturday night, but food or service did not disappoint. The vodka sauce was one of the best I’ve tasted and the lobster ravioli with shrimp was delicious! The swordfish piccata special was cooked perfectly and tasted excellent as well.

   Soup was salty and entree was not hot! Cost of soda was exorbitant. Restaurant was empty!

   Thanks for your feedback, Harriet. I hope you mentioned to your server that the soup was too salty for your taste so we could remove the item from your check while you were here. And I hope you let us know your food needed to be heated up a bit. You might find that most restaurants in this area are not very busy this time of year and we are no different: We use the slower time to coach, re-train and spruce up for the coming season. Perhaps you will visit us again!

   Friday night dinner for 2. Out of stock of the 1 of 4 pasta choices. Once we rectified it the meal was good. Good portion and the bolognese was tasty. Other meal was a steak frites. Typically served as sliced but this was a solid piece that couldn't be cut even with a steak knife. Meal was replaced but arrived after I finished. Nothing given as goodwill.

   TAVOLO is my dependable neighborhood restaurant . Food is always good and service , especially our waiter Jared is terrific . Also Avery , seem to be all over & do bar as well . I’m sure they could use more help .

   the eggplant rollatini was fried to within an inch of its light. so hatd couldnt cut it. Bately warm Beet salad had two small beets and couldnt find goat cheese

   I am sorry for your disappointment and that we did not meet your expectations. I offered to remake the rollatini for you even though you ate nearly all of it, and I even offered to make you a different dish if you wanted to take it home. You declined my offer. And when I visited your table, no one mentioned a problem with the beet salad. I checked with the server, and no one said anything to him either. It is much easier to get you satisfied while you are present in the dining room and we can do something. I wish you gave us the chance so that your experience could have been much better.

    This is a neighborhood gem . We eat here regularly . We used to do lunch but now it doesn’t open til 3 so we’ve been coming for early dinner . I had my shrimp scampi early bird . Delicious but my only complaint is that there wasn’t enough shrimp . Our waiter very good but he also doubles as bar tender so sometimes service is a little slow . Nice , quiet atmosphere
