this place is amazingly good. we have been eating near the symphony for 30 years. Teak wood is a winner

We return to Teakwood again and again because of the quality of food and the proximity to the Davies Symphony Hall. It was a busy evening and our waiter did not pay too much attention to us after food was delivered. Tables were small and crowded. When we’re ready to pay, I had to get up to find somebody. It is a more comfortable experience if you can get a booth, with 3 or more guests. Otherwise, just go for the food, not the ambience or service.

Our party was not given the check, we paid via credit card but the receipts showed they had already added 20 % which I added 20% more so the waiter got an 84-dollar tip and said nothing!! So shameful. The busboy didn't want to give me the receipt and I knew why when I got back to the office. It was a going-away Luncheon for a small nonprofit. I felt taken advantage of for sure.

The food was fantastic and our waiter was fantastic! He gave us great recommendations and constantly changed our plates and went out of his way to give us a great experience.
