The theatre of food at Teatro is synonymous with a Italian marketplace. From delicious selection of Antipasti to Traditional Italian wood-fired pizza, and amazing Pasta dishes Teatro caters for all guests. I’ve been here once before and quite enjoyed it so thought I’d take another friend here. Their menu was much smaller tonight and weren’t serving pizzas for some reason so we had to pick something else from the menu which was rather limited. Our waiter was hovering for an uncomfortable amount of time so we felt forced to order our mains and I’ve got to say, I was less than impressed with what I received. I ordered the pumpkin ravioli with prawns which was $44 and the flavours did not only clash but the pasta was bland and did not taste freshly made. This restaurant is definitely aimed at tourists who will pay a high price for mediocre food, just to eat with a view of the Yarra. I’m more than disappointed this time and won’t be coming here again.

Perfect pre-show dinner, Saturday night pre-show was as expected packed with diners and staff were stretched to cope during this busy period but service was still outstanding as was the variety of menu items we tried.

First time diners at Teatro, everything was easy and excellent including booking, seating, food (A+) and drinks (delicious), service (our main waiter was hilarious and made us feel very welcome). We'll be lunching again soon, thank you

Service staff were less than welcoming. An older gentleman saved the day with a cheery disposition. However we had to get up twice to ask to be served. Food was generous and flavourful. Disappointing however I won’t judge the business on the younger staff who were more interested in chatting with each other and the kitchen staff.
