The only small challenge was wrapping the hand rolls ourselves, which was a bit tricky at first, but overall, it was a fun and interactive part of the meal.    I enjoyed my second visit to Temaki Sushi even more than my first visit. The quality and diversity of the banquet was sublime and amazing value. A lovely experience hard to find outside of Japan. Definitely on my return visit list again.

   Had such a great time at Temaki Sushi! It’s not just about eating sushi it’s about making it yourself, which made the whole experience so much more fun. There were so many different meats and fish to try, and everything was super fresh and delicious. Big shoutout to Chef Hiroshi for the amazing food and for making it such an enjoyable experience. If you love sushi or just want to try something different, definitely check this place out!

The delicate miso and bonito dashi soups are beautifully balanced, while the seared wagyu and melt-in-your-mouth scallops are must-tries. For dessert, the Hojicha pudding is a perfect, umami-rich finish. With knowledgeable staff and an inviting ambiance, Temaki Sushi is a must-visit for an unforgettable dining experience.    Was only the third day the restaurant was open. Very cosy place. Seats only 11. And the food was delicious.

   We had a lovely evening being spoilt with dish after dish that was delicious and carefully crafted. The vibe sent me straight back to Japan and all the reasons to love Japan.

   What a great find this one is. Unique and exclusive with only 10 seats, you are treated like 5 star service and the food amazing. Loved the interaction with the head chef and the design of the menu. Highly recommend.

    My wife and I ate at Temaki Sushi this evening, it was our first time there. The restaurant itself is small, very casual, and very comfortable. The dining concept is quite unique. The menu is seasonal and incorporates many organic ingredients from their own farm in Ferndale. Our meal was excellent, starting with a cucumber salad and Konnyaku jelly. This was followed with a gentle miso soup. The main dish was a Temaki-style, delightful assortment of meats, seafood and vegetables that were beautifully prepared and easily self-assembled on Nori sheets and rice. We followed this with a small bowl of Somen noodles in a bonito dashi broth - very clean and lovely flavour. Our meal finished with an Hojicha pudding that was delicious. One thing that really stood out to both my wife and I was the very clear sense that the staff really care about service and providing a great dining experience. The restaurant is in an excellent location in the top end of Melbourne's CBD, and public parking is right across the road. We had a lovely night, and happily recommend it.
