Valentine's dinner and we hadn't had sushi for a long while. Thought about the Omakase but opted for la carte instead to get more freedom of choice. Food was great, we really enjoyed the specialty rolls we got as well as the Chef's sashimi. So much so that we got more sashimi a la carte. I really really wish they had squid/ika sashimi as well. That's our preferred sashimi and the only thing that was missing to make the dinner perfect. I would have also appreciated a cocktail or 2 but that's rare at sushi spots, so no issue with that. The ambiance was surprisingly fantastic. Not too noisy, they played some great Rn'B throughout the evening (Sushi while enjoying Erikah Badu? Win win). I particularly like how much space there was between tables and sections. We were a lot more comfortable than at many such restaurants You could have a conversation without having to yell. The service was nice. Had a reservation and didn't have to wait more than a few minutes for a table. I don't have high expectations around how often service persons come to your table or chat with you. So the relatively stoic personality of our waiter was just fine. Various staff members came by to refill waters and especially ginger and wasabi, which we always appreciate. They also brought food at a nice pace. It's a little inconvenient when all your orders arrive at the same time and you have to uncomfortably manage your table and rush. We got our plates 2 at a time, each round when we just finished the previous. They deserved that 25% tip. The prices were not bad, and it always works in our favor (Washingtonians) once exchange rates kick in. There was a parking garage right next door. From some gym which had a lot of reserved spots but we did manage to find some availability. Considering we didn't have to pay, it was no hassle at all. A long review just to say it's a great spot to add to the collection! We certainly will be back. Thank you for a pleasant evening, Temaki!

Absolutely fantastic sushi! Our favourite Japanese food in Vancouver. Wonderful atmosphere and top quality service as always. Highly recommend! A+

Food & service were excellent and the ambiance was perfect too , customers seemed very enjoyable just wondering why it’s kind of noisy

The quality of sushi is amazingly fresh, the service is outstanding. We’ve discovered this place back in 2008 and it’s has been always great. We’ve discovered drive in from Port Moody to at least have sushi here at least once a month as a treat. I’ve been to many sushi places around North America and this one is one of the best sushi places around. It is really an our go to place to have sushi. Their prices are reasonably priced and we feel like for the quality grade sushi they serve it’s really a bargain. It is well worth the drive from Port Moody which is about a 40 minute drive into West Broadway and Arbutus. We’ve have never been disappointed in the quality of sushi that we’ve ordered. We have taken out Nephew from the UK back in 2009 and he’s also acknowledged that he has never tasted quality sushi anywhere else as well, we took his family there this past summer when he and his family were visiting us, we told him that we had family dinner reservations there he was thrilled that I had made reservations there.

Great food as always, but our reservation was for the bar and we were instead sat at a table in a corner that got very very loud as more people showed up.

Good food, friendly staff and a nice interior setting. Decent value for money. I would recommend trying it

Really lovely and fresh sushi from Temaki! We ordered the assorted sushi and sushi dinner plate. You can also see into their little sushi station and you can tell it’s being made fresh. It can get a little noisy to the point where you have to raise your voice to talk to the person across from me. But service was very fast and efficient with seating us and you can always add to your order. It did take a bit to get the check but the food makes everything worth it.

Great array of seafood. The quality was just amazing, surpassing many Japanese restaurants I’ve been to. Seafood was fresh, clean restaurant and many food options

I ordered chicken donburi. Portion is excellent and they are generous on chicken and rice. So full. Excellent choice!!
