   Food was very good. Typical of Asian restaurants, food is served when ready so your party may get food at different intervals, especially if you order from the kitchen and sushi bar the food will come at different times.

   A treasure for decades sitting in plain sight. With a very unassuming exterior that doesn't really appear open at times, a delightful restaurant is hidden within. The staff is always friendly and attentive and the food is both yummy and satisfying. It is busy and popular so make sure that you get a reservation. The new owner is making small improvements and upgrades while keeping the longtime patron favorites on the menu. We always enjoy or visits and meals.

   Having dined at the previous Renga-Tei a handful of times over the past 15 years, we were curious to try Tenjin, after the new owners took over and made it their own. We are so glad we did, as the dining experience exceeded our expectations. The staff is friendly and welcoming, made recommendations when we had questions, and every item we ate was fresh, delicious, and nicely presented (sashimi, nigiri, chicken karaage, curry udon, to name a few). Enjoyed trying some new sakes via a flight. We will for sure be back, as they have earned a spot in our regular rotation of favorite Japanese restaurants in Chicagoland.

   Food was very good, but a little on the sweet side. Portions were good. Service and ambiance were excellent. The prices fell in line with what you got. I will be going back.

   Another delicious, beautifully prepared meal in a very pleasant setting. Excellent California roll and delicious curry vegetables. We were not rushed, and it was an ideal 52nd anniversary lunch.

   Chicken Katsu, combination “D”, nabeyaki udon, oyster fry app, were all delicious. Very classic & traditional. Nina, our server, was great, attentive as usual.

    Food was excellent. We were there for lunch & ordered Chicken Katsu curry, Chicken Katsudon, fried oysters & futomaki. Our server Nina always provides great service.
