I’ve been to Terrain Cafe couple of times before but for the brunch and this is my first time for the dinner. Food isn’t that great as breakfast or brunch menu but I love the ambiance of this cafe

My husband and I returned to Terrain Cafe to celebrate our 2-year anniversary, as we remembered the food and hospitality from our wedding being excellent. Unfortunately, this visit was disappointing. The roasted carrots and mushroom soup were great, and the flower pot bread with whipped butter is still a standout. However, the Atlantic halibut lacked flavor, and the Terrain burger needed sauce. The "truffle fries" were just fries with cheese, not worth the extra $4. While the atmosphere was cozy and the service was friendly, it was slow-our check took 20 minutes, and another 10 minutes for the server to return for our payment. To top it off, there was no special recognition for our anniversary, just a dry "happy anniversary" from the host. Given the mediocre food and slow service, unfortunately we're unlikely to return for another meal.

Food is delicious! Our waitress was lovely. Just more noisy than I’d prefer for a brunch

Mushroom soup was sooo thick, it was like a puree (I asked about the consistency before I ordered it). My colleague had not gotten half-way through her soup when entrees appeared. I was not finished either. She never went back to her soup. Poor timing on food delivery.

Our server was excellent and personable. The hummus was fantastic as were the cocktails - they were delicious and an inspired flavor profile. The short rib with egg was under seasoned as was the pot pie. The chocolate terrarium was also great. The fried avocado was rich but you must like warm avocado which is not for everyone. I’ll give it another try but the food really needs a bit more care and attention.
